Hi! I was diagnosed with endo about three years ago but now I feel as though my symptoms are getting worse and I’m not sure how to cope.
My legs are so achy. These cramps come over me unexpectedly and only last a little while but it’s so painful. Do you get these? I find a hot water bottle helps me but is there anything else?
Also I have the mirena so I don’t normally have periods however I woke up with one this morning so maybe that’s why I’ve been so bloated all week.
I’m booked to see the gynaecologist the end of July but I’m scared that she will say I need another lap but on the other hand I don’t want her to just tell me to take medication!
I could do with a friend to talk to if you feel the same as me.
Thank you xx

Hi, sorry to hear how you're struggling. It can be so tough. I get a lot of pains like you describe. For me it's really bad back and hip pain but I get aches down my legs too. The things that help me most is stretching so I do yoga every day, making sure I stretch my hips and lower back. I also see a chiropractor every 2 weeks to help keep everything moving. I've started to get acupuncture and visceral-pelvic mobilisation (like a specific massage of the pelvis done by a physio) too which supposedly really helps but I've only had it once so too early to know.
They're are loads of alternative options and lifestyle changes that can have a massive impact. Have you looked into the diet approaches? I've just started the endo diet but I'm hopefully for that too.
Hey. I'm on here awake at 4:40 AM in my time zone because I just got hit by the endo cramps. They are so horrible. I understand. I an sending you so much strength and understanding from here.
I take a medicine called Midol the split second I feel that cramps might start. I don't know if it's available in your country. It is a US medication.
If this helps, it is made of a combination of Acetaminophen (500 mg), Caffeine (60 mg), and Pyrilamine maletate (15 mg).
The dosage is 2 pills, with a max of 6 per day, but usually what I do is take 3 to 4 when my cramps start and then make sure to limit any other medication I take for the rest of the time, and avoid taking more later if I can to the maximum amount possible.
What also helps for me is holding on to an electric plug-in heating pad. If you can find one I highly reccomend trying one. It's like a hot water bottle but it stays warm for much longer and you don't have to worry about heating it up, just plug it in and you're good to go.
Girl, like I said, sending so much strength and power to you from here. You are felt. You are understood. Sending you love <3
Also, if you want a friend to talk to about it and just vent, I can I've been thinking of getting surgery but I'm scared to do so. All of it can be so frustrating and difficult but you're doing good <3
