Hello All. My name is Iza Bela and I had my laparoscopy done yesterday. My story and pain started back in Dec and continued until now. I made it worse when using a power plate machine in the gym, when I got horrible pain in my belly button and area. I noticed sth like a lump in my belly button after, which swell and was very sore. I saw my GP who refered me to a surgeon through a private insurance I’m lucky to have from work. To cut the longer story short: I had an ultrasound scan, which showed nothing, no hernia signed as they thought. CT scan also showed not much except a thickness in the skin where I had that sore lump. In the meantime another small lump appeared close to the bigger one (big about 1.5cm and small maybe 5mm), swell and changed colour to a reddish/brownish/purple. It bursted eventually with no pain there but pain in the big lump. This scenario kept coming back a couple of times ( not super regularly but I think 4 times between Jan and June). Waking up in the morning noticed kind of dirty blood inside my belly button. Which made me started thinking I had endo. Since the pain has been still there, lighter, stronger, only big lump swollen, or small red swollen, bursting or not.... The doc suggested to do a laparoscopy. I had that done yesterday, good thing was that there was nothing inside me, which could indictate what I could actually have, no intestines stuck to the wall of my belly etc. So they also cut the belly button and ‘cleaned’ the area from outside. Been told that ‘lump’ was very weird, like uneven, series of small pockets with brownish-reddish liquid insude, which was removed and also that tag ( small lump) with blood or whatever it was, he has removed that too. The doc said I’m a big mistery to him, he has not seen anything like that before & that what was removed is now going to a lab. I need to mention too that I was on pills for xxx years, changed to mini pill 3 y ago for 2 y and been ok mirena coil. I recently discovered by visiting my gyn that I had a overian cyst - never had cysts. ( the doc that was operating me is a surgeon but not gyn). Does any of you have any idea if this looks/sounds like endo in the skin? I’m happy to answer questions if this may help. Do u know if the results from lab will show if it is endo? I thought that if it is endo, the doc usually can see/recognise it when doing an operation, however this looked unusual to him. Any advice appreciated. Thank you so much.
I keep my fingers crossed for every one of you to get better xxx
