Today had been rubbish
The fatigue today has kicked my butt :( and my hip and legs are so painful. I’m on codeine phosphate but it isn’t doing mucch, I also have naproxen. Tramadol doesn’t work on me and oramoph keeps me awake. Doesn’t anyone know of anything else I can try? I’ve had the mirena too but my body pushed it out

I recently had the mirena coil fitted, any bad experiences?? - help🤷♀️🤷♀️
So I had the coil fitted 15th Jan, since then non stop trouble 😩 I bled for the first 3 months being on it with a couple of day intervals but apart from that I was very much bleeding on and off every couple of hours, so unpredictable I just had to wear pads constantly! When not bleeding however, I get

Occupational health: Positive experience!
Hi ladies (sorry long post), I just wanted to share with you my positive experience with Occupational Health in work to give some of you hope :) Now, I should mention that I work in a University and I am aware that we are very lucky with the way our HR department can treat us when it comes to sick

Mirena expired over a year ago
I’ve had the Mirena coil in for over 6 years now (I didn’t realise until last week and have booked in for a replacement). I’ve been having spotting, pretty sore breasts, lower sex drive and generally feeling up and down for quite a few months now but just put it down to hormones and maybe due to my age

Not sure whether to get mirena for pain
Hi, I am due to get a diagnostic laparoscopy for possible endometriosis at the end of this month and my consultant is really pushing for me to get the mirena put in at the same time. I have agreed for now (partly by it being made to seem like the only solution for my pain). I have had a terrible time

Mirena Coil issue
Hi there, Last week I had a laparoscopy where I had the mirena coil inserted. After healing from the laparoscopy I’ve been in a lot of pain. Like severe period type cramps and bleeding (was on my period when I had the surgery/insertion and it hasn’t gone away) and going to the toilet is very painful

My experience of radical surgery for stage IV endometriosis
Hi Everyone, I don't usually post on forums like this, but I thought it was important to share my positive experience of radical surgery because I have read so many post from ladies who are completely torn as to what to do. I was only formally diagnosed with endometriosis in October last year after having

Being Diagnosed/MRI/Mirena Coil?
Hey all, I'm new to this whole thing so I guess I should start by introducing myself ha. My name's Georgina - I'm 25 and I've recently been diagnosed with endometriosis. I'll admit, I've been extremely lucky considering how long it takes most women to get diagnosed! This time last year I couldn't have

Pelvic pain clinic meeting left feeling hopeless
I had my pelvic pain clinic meeting today with the endo specialists, basically they just ignored everything I tried to tell them though. I was diagnosed with endo and had it surgically removed in November and it was stage 1. But I have still been suffering severe pain especially before my period is due

Nothing found after Laparoscopy
So after another year of on and off pelvic pain , back and forth to the doctors, then specialist I opted for a Laparoscopy and to also have the Mirena coil fitted at the same time. So after my lap the surgeon came out and said she found nothing! So now I am very confused! Is the pain being caused by

Help?! Anyone else have endo without pain during sex/mobile uterus?
Hi ladies, so I’ve just got home from the hospital and my 2nd gyne appointment. Anyone who has read my previous posts may remember I now have a mirena which has stopped the ridiculously heavy bleeding, but I’m still suffering with severe cyclical pain and bowel/bladder issues. My gynaecologist has said

Embedded endometriosis
I had an operation in 2014 to remove the endometriosis which went as well as it could, I was then also given a mirena coil and an implant in my arm to stop my periods and hopefully stop the endometriosis returning. In the last year I've been experiencing cramps and other issues but there's been no bleeding

merina fitted this week. Is it normal to get more pain when I’m physically active?
Hi everyone!! I have just had my first mirena fitted this week, since being diagnosed with endo in March. I’m 40 and have had symptoms for about 20 years. I see now that I was being naive but I wasn’t expecting much pain! How wrong I was!!! Had to have a local anaesthetic for insertion and nearly passed

Newbie...Possible Adenomyosis (or Endometriosis or Fibroids)!
Hello, I'm new here and wondering if there are any who have had a similar situation to me. I am 43, had severely painful and long and heavy periods in my teens and 20s. Went on Depo Provera in my 30s for 5 years which was amazing. No pain, no period, no migrained. Came off it and still no pain or migraines

Mirena pain
I started experiencing endo symptoms late last year, awful ongoing pain and tiredness which was so hard to describe and left me weak and sad. I also had rectal pain and bleeding which I didn't know could be connected until I started seeing others online who experienced the same thing. My GP prescribed
