Estradot, HRT, Cysts
So after 3 weeks of agonising pain, an Urgent Care Visit, 111 calls and finally an appointment with my consultant on Tuesday it turns out I have a cyst on my right ovary that's potentially leaking. Most likely due to the Mirena coil, but have been prescribed Estradot patches which is essentially HRT

Did your surgeon tell you they removed the mirena, completely, but never found it , and it was still inside you perforated for 6 years?
I had an endometriosis removal surgery seven years ago and a week later after this operation my surgeon inserted the mirena. I went back to the surgeon in 1 and half weeks to have it removed. I was told by the surgeon he removed it. Seven years later i find out that it was still inside me. I suffered

Been having them for a year now. Diagnosed for hypothyroidism in Jan. Was on 25mcg levothyroxine, been on 75mcg for 4 weeks. Monster night sweats. Low mood. Tired. Can't concentrate. Feel no different to when I originally went to Gp. I thought I was perimenopausal. Blood tests said different but I have

Mirena strings...
I’m not to sure what to do as I can’t seem to find my IUD strings. Has anyone else had this problem? Also I have really bad weather pelvic pains around my ovaries and bowel movements are really painful sorry if this is TMI.

No sex drive whatsoever... coil related??
Hello! I had surgery to remove my endo on February... all went well and they also inserted a Mirena coil in too.. Well I obviously didn’t have sex for a while whilst I was recovering. But ever since my sex drive is basically at zero. I love my partner to pieces, I still find him incredibly hot!! But

Hysterscopy/Mirena?
So I had my first gynaecology appointment today. I mentioned all my symptoms and he wrote everything down. He then tried to do an exam with the speculum (like having a smear test), but the pain was horrendous. So he had to stop. He then said he wants to do a hysteroscopy and put the mirena coil in at

Pregnancy advice please!!
Hey everyone, basically I had a laproscopy June 2017 where they found endometriosis in the pouch of douglas so they attempted ablation but there was still some left. I've tried mirena coil which was rubbish so went on zoladex for 6 months which worked really well. Saw my new gynaecologist today who thinks

I'm so sick and tired of all this. Mirena isn't helping...blah blah blah. You've heard it all before.
Hi, Im so exhausted with this. I was diagnosed with endo 5 years ago after suffering 8 years with excruciating periods and my GP sending me away every time saying it was just normal period pain and that I'd grow out of it. Even though I was fainting, having both diarreoa and constipation and vomiting

Anyone had a chemical menopause to diagnose Endo?
Hi, I had a 2nd Lapo 2 years ago where Endo was found and removed and then I went on the mirena coil. I still have pain in my right side - I describe it like having a splinter you can’t get out, constantly throbbing/inflamed and more painful during ovulation and/or something pressed there. I still have

Sudden heavy bleeding but on mirena coil so don’t get periods?? HELP
Hi All, Has anyone ever had issues with the mirena coil? more specifically, I had a mirena fitted to stop my endo growing back. It’s 3 years ago, and had it replaced in early 2017. In this time I have not had one period, not even a patch of breakthrough bleeding. So on Friday I had really quite nasty

Hi all, i ve been diagnosed with endo for a few years now and had a diagnostic lap 3 yrs ago. At that time they found an ovarian cyst and endo tissue on my bladder but couldnt remove it there and then due to the risk of complications. They scheduled me in for another lap to have another specialist on

Question...
I was just wondering if the combined pill effects what is seen during a laparoscopy? As many of my old symptoms are returning even though I have the Mirena coil which i was told that this would stop the endo from returning. 🤔😢

Endo and asthma
Has anyone else developed asthma since endo diagnosis? I was diagnosed with endo 2yrs ago now. It was a bit of a 'lucky' diagnosis if I'm honest, I'd been suffering with increased pain in the first couple of days of my period for at least 1.5-2yrs before I went to my GP at the time (I've since moved

Today had been rubbish
The fatigue today has kicked my butt :( and my hip and legs are so painful. I’m on codeine phosphate but it isn’t doing mucch, I also have naproxen. Tramadol doesn’t work on me and oramoph keeps me awake. Doesn’t anyone know of anything else I can try? I’ve had the mirena too but my body pushed it out

I recently had the mirena coil fitted, any bad experiences?? - help🤷♀️🤷♀️
So I had the coil fitted 15th Jan, since then non stop trouble 😩 I bled for the first 3 months being on it with a couple of day intervals but apart from that I was very much bleeding on and off every couple of hours, so unpredictable I just had to wear pads constantly! When not bleeding however, I get

Mirena expired over a year ago
I’ve had the Mirena coil in for over 6 years now (I didn’t realise until last week and have booked in for a replacement). I’ve been having spotting, pretty sore breasts, lower sex drive and generally feeling up and down for quite a few months now but just put it down to hormones and maybe due to my age
