Post lap questions
Had my diagnostic lap yesterday, and the fact I'm writing this at 4:15am probably suggests how recovery is going 😠I'm so so so upset and disappointed as I have been told that all was clear, absolutely no signs of endo. They inserted a mirena whilst I was under and said that should hopefully help with

3 blood transfusions for a period
After bleeding consistently for about a year I needed 3 blood transfusions and have been on many different medicines and I've had the mirena coil etc. (nothing has been too effective yet). I've had this problem since March 2017 at least and I don't think I am any closer to finding out what is wrong with

First appointment with endo specialist but GP has worried me!
After two years of getting nowhere I’m hoping my appoint with an actual endo specialist will finally lead to a diagnosis and a plan. I wasfobbed off by a general gynae who, as I’ve said on here before, said that because the mirena hadn’t stopped my pain then it can’t be a gynae issue. This was despite

Question....
Just had mirena coil fitted earlier today, after consultant gynaecologist recommended it. I'm assuming pain afterwards is normal? I'm having really bad cramping but failed to ask if I should expect this much discomfort. I took off pretty quick after the procedure as I found the whole experience very

Anybody had the Mirena Coil fitted and not bled!?
Guys! I had the mirena coil fitted on Friday (after already having one laparoscopy for Endo, I am trying this before going forward for my second op!). The Doctor said I needed to have it done during my period - I was supposed to start Friday and had every feeling that it was imminent however since she

Microscopic Endometriosis/Adenomyosis
I was diagnosed with Endo about 7 years ago and nothing has helped (pills, Mirena only for a short amount of time, CBD). My symptoms are severe and after an operation with a BSGE Specialist in October, no Endo was found. I went to another BSGE Specialist who diagnosed me with Microscopic Endometriosis

Struggling to talk my partner about trying asap for a baby...
Hi everyone, This will be familiar territory to some of you I'm sure. Sorry this is a long rant.... I am just so tired of having to think about what step to take next. I wake up and feel emotional, not even sure why. Bit of back story: I'm 30, have endo, two laps down, mirena coil for a year. I'm still

Back pain
Hi! 49 yrs . Been having back pain for over a year. Within this year changes in my cycle. Pain heavy bleeding etc. Have had diagnosis of thick uterus and small cysts on ovaries. Finally got into a gynocologist and he suspects adenomyosis. He has done a scope and biopsy. I go for my follow up tomorrow

Help please
Hello Ladies, Hope your all well. I was just wondering if any of you can help me please. I'm wanting to know if there's anything I can take to stop my bleeding. Implant, marina coil, zolazex, prostrap injection, transexamic acid and Norethisterone all I've tried with no help. I've also got high blood

Chemical menopause your thoughts please!!
I had my lap yesterday and the doctor asked me again if I wanted the Mirena coil fitted which I said I didn’t. He then said he would start me on a chemical menopause, has anyone had a good experience on this? Would you recommend it? All thoughts good and bad appreciated. Thank you x

Bleed with Mirena coil after 3 years
Hi everyone, it’s been a while! I was put on the coil after my second surgery (lucky me I was asleep!) and had my third surgery a year after. Since then I’ve been pretty much pain and bleed free! ... til now. I’m almost at my 3 year mark with the coil (March) and did some research on forums and it seems

Has anyone been able to opt for surgery/hysterectomy without going down the mirena / hormone route first under 40??
Hi everyone, adenomyosis was seen on my recent MRI and i have a history of endo. I previously tried mini pill and implant. My gyn wants me to try mirena but i dont really like the idea, i had a copper coil previously and had constant problems with yeast and urinary infections. Im 35 so they are dismissive

Can't feel Mirena strings...
Hi all This sounds ridiculous but I am not sure I have ever been able to feel the strings on my Mirena IUS. I've had it just over two months and have thought I could feel them on occasion, but never been certain. I'm pretty sure it is in there...it was put in under GA but the doctors assured me it had

Adenomyosis found on MRI, mirena recommended? surgery?
Anyone with endo also been diagnosed with adenomyosis? I went for my MRI results today and found out, there was also a 4cm mass seen which they said was likely a luteal cyst..I'm having a follow up scan next month to check it. The consultant now wants me to try the mirena coil. Has anyone tried the coil

In one word, can you describe what living with endometriosis feels like?
I'm 30 and have endometriosis. Two laparoscopies and excision of endo, got the mirena coil, yet still living with symptoms. I'm interested in telling my story, as its not just my story, its millions of women's stories. So, I'm writing an article that will hopefully get published. I'm interested in the

Ovarian cyst rupture on mirena coil...ouch!
Hi Ladies Two nights ago I had very sudden and severe pain in my abdomen. I could hardly breathe or walk, and felt very nauseous, sweaty etc. I took 800mg of ibuprofen and after about an hour it all calmed down and I basically fell asleep due to the shock of it all and the drugs knocking me out a bit
