HRT vs Levo
New to forum and have had Hashimoto diagnosed. GP prescribed 50mg of Levo. Already have Mirena coil and taking 1mg of Estradiol HRT. Is there any conflict between taking HRT and Levothyroxine. Appreciate knowing if they're compatible or not. GP has suggested not but meno(?), HRT and Thyroid and

Advice on HRT
Hello😊 im looking for HRT advice, Im 48 and recently started on estradiol 1% the brand I'm on is Divigel, I'm a little confused as I asked for a body identical one and this is bio identical, I've been on Dr Louise Newsons page and she said body identical is the safest oestrogen but my doctor said that

Interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome and endometriosis?
Hi, I have a laparoscopy booked next week to look for endometriosis, which my consultant thinks may be linked to my interstitial cystitis symptoms- does anyone else have this? Do you have any advice on how to manage it? I had my mirena coil removed for the surgery at the surgeons request and now my

After 13yrs finally have an answer!
Warning, could be a tad too much information for people below! After 13yrs of symptoms and issues I finally have a diagnosis!! Symptoms started just after my second son was born although thinking back now I think I had symptoms in my teens. Fobbed off by many GP’s and then finally found one who listened

Feeling forced into surgery? No other option
Hi everyone, I'm new on here and was looking for some advice. I'm 22 and have been having the most horrendous painful periods (and pain when not bleeding, pain when going to the toilet and now pain during sex) for about 2 years now. The doctors think I might have endometriosis. I have the mirena coil

Mirena Coil flipped upside down & embedded
Hi, has anyone been through something similar? So it has now been 3 attempts to remove my coil. Today they tried as a hysteroscopy with local anaesthetic, 20 mins in and in so much pain they gave up. When they had one last look with the camera they noticed the coil and flipped upside down, strings wrapped

Missing Mirena coil
Hello I’m wondering if anyone can help. I had a procedure on Saturday to remove a fibroid and to remove my Mirena coil. After the procedure the nurse advised that the marina coil wasn’t there. Yesterday I received a letter to say that I’d been discharged from the gynaecologist. This morning I called

Can the Mirena coil cause migraines?
Hey guys, about 6 months ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis and had a lap and got the mirena coil to reduce symptoms. Since then (I think), I have noticed I've been getting some quite intense migraines occasionally. Are these all linked?

Mirena Coil Replacement Issues
Hey everyone! I’ve been on the Mirena Coil for a long time now and it was the best thing that I ever did. Only issue is it’s now expired... and all my pain and bleeding is coming back and getting worse and worse and I just feel so depressed because before the coil I would be bed bound due to the chronic

Op coming up soon - advice?
Hi everyone, I finally have a date for my op on the 10th of June. Feeling quite nervous! Does anybody have advice for things to do before/afterwards to help recovery? Or things to take into hospital with me? Or things to ask the surgeon/nurses? Still haven't decided whether to have mirena put in or to

Mirena or Prosterone pill
Hi, I need some help. I have severe pain, cramping, spasming on a daily basis that means I have to come into a&e on a regular basis as all pain medication barely has an affect! It has been recommended to me to try either the more a or a progesterone only pill to minimise the estrogen and this the pain

All of a sudden, a menstrual cycle after 10 years?
So I've been on the Mirena for about 6 years (had a new one put in last year) and before that I was on the Depo shot for 4 years. I haven't had my period in those 10 years I've been using these methods in order to control my endometriosis and associated pain. Recently in the last month and a half, I've

Temporary Menopause?
Hi everyone, hope you’re all ok. I was just wondering if you could offer some advice? My Gynae has said that he will do a lap, pre op is Tuesday. I’m on my second mirena coil, I don’t remember having any effects from the first one. With this one my boobs are so sore ALL the time, not just around ovulation

Starting the endo diagnosis journey but I'm still not sure...
Hello - earlier this year I started the endo diagnosis journey after nearly 20 years of traipsing in and out of the doctors with multiple symptoms. I've been told it's IBS, it's your hormones and you're a woman, it's just one of those things you have to live with. Last year I had enough, I started bleeding

More pain after having mirena coil?
Hi everyone, I'm new to this site! I have been diagnosed with "suspected" endometriosis and adenomyosis after years of struggling. They won't do a laparoscopy yet to confirm and wanted to try the mirena coil first. I had it fitted a couple of weeks ago on day 6 of my cycle (which I found horrifically
