I was just wondering if you could offer some advice?
My Gynae has said that he will do a lap, pre op is Tuesday.
I’m on my second mirena coil, I don’t remember having any effects from the first one. With this one my boobs are so sore ALL the time, not just around ovulation, to the point wearing a too is painful.
He also mentioned an injection that would put me in to a temporary menopause as me and Hubby don’t want another child due to our first being disabled and the age gap.
Has anyone else had this injection?
Thank you x

Hi, I didn’t as I was worried too much about it. I didn’t want the side effects of being plunged into a temporary menopause but a few people on here have. Search for Prostrap and you’ll see more posts. Hope this helps x
Hi Blue1921, I'm waiting for a hysterectomy and I'm on decapeptyl injections, I have them every month and I take HRT too, it's been the best thing I've tried, I had hot flashes but once I started the HRT they stopped, I was ment to be on it for 6months but it's been a year due to covid, u need to do what u think is best for u, good luck and hope u find something that helps xx
Thank you. The thought of having an hysterectomy scares me even though I know I don’t want anymore children. I’m so tired of having side effects from contraception. Maybe I’ll give the injections a go. Thank you xx hope you get on ok too xxx
I know what u mean, we dont want anymore children but I really found it hard and still do sometimes, I asked for the hysterectomy but it doesn't make it any easier, I found that other contraceptions just weren't working and I started to have terrible side effects, the injections have made so much difference to my every day life, but I still only take them every month so if I need to stop I only have a month too. I hope it all works out for u and feel free to ask any questions xx
