Endo pain with mirena 12 months on
Hi, I was diagnosed with stage 2 endometriosis November 2020 with a laproscopy. The endometrial tissue was removed, and I was placed on the Mirena coil to reduce my estrogen production. The first 6 months of the mirena coil was not nice, the pain was so bad we worried it was leftover endometrial tissue

Pain but no period, could it still be endo?
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing ongoing pelvic pain even though they have no periods or very little spotting (I have the mirena). I was told by my gynaecologist the mirena significantly reduces pain as it reduces bleeding but I’m still experiencing at least 20 days of pain per

Cerazette & Mirena Coil together
Hello all, I have stage 4 endometriosis. It’s recto-vaginal. I have had the Mirena coil in for 2 years. It was good initially. Stopped my periods completely and massively reduced my pain. I was getting a lot of pain in my left ovary and scan revealed 8cm cyst. I’ve had 2 further scans since abs

Endometriosis Advice
I am 27 and have been dealing with painful period since I was 13/14. I have gone back to the doctor so many times about the pain to be told we can’t do anymore. You’re already on naxproxen and codiene nothing strong we can give you. Lots of doctors have said they think I have endometriosis but no one

Hi everyone! I had my first prostap injection 4 weeks ago. Im just after some advice RE side effects please! I haven’t really had any of the typical ones, hot flushes etc. My mood has been so incredibly low though and I feel really anxious and paranoid all the time. Did anyone else experience this?

Betmiga/bladder endo
Has anyone been prescribed betmiga/mirabegron after a laparoscopy and treatment of bladder endo (ovarian and bowel too)? I take it daily and it worked for 2 months post-op - but in the past month it’s not helping and I’m already back feeling like I need a wee all the time! Seeing GP soon - but not sure

Stick with mirena or have it removed?
Hi I have a gynae appointment coming up and I’m not sure whether to ask for the mirena to be removed or give it more time… I’ve had it for nearly 9 months now and it’s changed my pain pattern rather than being around periods I am experiencing pain throughout the month, about 20 days a month of pain

Hi all, So a bit of background. I had a laparoscopy 3 years ago to remove a cyst from my ovary which turned out to be a chocolate cyst and they also found adhesions on my other ovary and diagnosed endometriosis. I had a mirena coil already and so haven't had further treatment. 6-9 months ago I started

Newly diagnosed with Endo & not sure how to go about doctor's appointments- can anyone help?
Hi, in the past 8-12 months I've suffered from extremely painful periods, to the point I was collapsing monthly, even temporarily losing vision. I finally went to the doctor about it (only had telephone appts so far) and she said she agreed with describing it as 'a degree of Endometriosis'. She recommended

Surgery or try other things first?
I have been struggling with suspected endometriosis for over a decade (as many on this forum will empathise with). And after finally pushing harder to relieve symptoms I have finally had a date for a laparoscopy in 3 weeks time. However, I'm incredibly nervous about the surgery, particularly the recovery

Mirena coil - does that impact peri?
I was given a Mirena coil due to PCOS years ago and had an update when due. Now in my 50s and wandering if it has any impact on peri - meno symptoms?

Mirena coil - pros and cons
Hi all, I’ve had the mirena coil about 5 months now and my periods have pretty much stopped but I’ve found the pain is more spread out over the month and it still feels so uncomfortable. My consultant has recommended to keep going - need to try for at least a year. I was just wondering what other people

Endo pain from weight lifting
I was diagnosed with endo in December 2020. During my laparoscopy, they inserted the mirena iud. My pain and bleeding has started to increase again and in particular, when I’m doing intense exercise (weight lifting, netball) it makes it significantly worse. All the advice I see is encouraging people

Mirena helping or making endo worse?
Hi, I’ve had the mirena coil for 6 months now but seem to have pain throughout the month rather than just leading up to period. Still have some spotting with mirena. Has anyone else found the coil hasn’t helped or made it worse? I’m just not sure whether to keep persevering or if it’s just not working

Mirena Coil Gone wrong?
To combat my endo symptoms my doc referred me to try a 4th contraceptive- the coil. When i went, I wasn't on my period but everything went wrong, my doctor attempted to measure my uterus and my heart rate plummeted I got the most intense pain and pretty much fainted.Thankfully they tipped me upside
