Hi,
I was diagnosed with stage 2 endometriosis November 2020 with a laproscopy. The endometrial tissue was removed, and I was placed on the Mirena coil to reduce my estrogen production.
The first 6 months of the mirena coil was not nice, the pain was so bad we worried it was leftover endometrial tissue. But after 6 months, the pain went away and I was without endo pain and could live life normal.
Another 6 months has passed, and all of a sudden I'm getting bad pains again. The pain is nearly every day now for 2 weeks, with pain in my abdomen, back, thighs, and *ahem* down below.
I haven't had a period in 6 months, but I do still get hormonal swings (and BIG dips in mood).
Does anyone else experience this? Do you think its likely new growths of endometrial tissue, benign cysts (the common type from being on the mirena), just mirena pain or something else?
I'm reluctant to go the doctors again, it took from age 13 to 23 to just be sent for an ultrasound for endo, and because I'm on the coil I feel they'll just go "its coil pain, deal with it or we can take it out if you cant"... which isn't really an option because without my endo will come back stronger :/
Thank you xx
