Increasing Levothyroxine made my blood work worse
I'm new here but absolutely desperate for some answers. I’m sorry this is going to be long. I was diagnosed hypothyroid back in 2013 and did okay on 25 mcg/day of Levothyroxine. My TSH was never ideal, often a bit above the acceptable range, but whenever they tried to increase my dose I got tons of

Dry irritating cough
I have been on Urso for a couple of years now and have had a dry irritating cough for at least that long. I don't know if it is due to the Urso, side effects do state cough and sore throat. I just wonder if anyone has had this problem and what to do about it. I am on nexium 40mg daily and taking an antihistamine

Advice on latest TSH results & High vitB12-take PPIs for acid reflux....
Hi Would welcome your thoughts on my latest TSH and whether my sluggish, low energy, weight gain, constant bloated stomach, brain fog, bad short term memory and fungal rash on breasts-Is it all hypo symptoms or B12 deficiency masked by the taking of PPI Omaprazole for hiatus hernia and acid reflux.

Does constipation block bugs?
I posted a few days ago after getting a bad reaction after Mexican food on Monday. I barely ate Monday and Tues as I felt off but on both days had one miserable stool. Wednesday however my appetite came back and I felt amazing. Worked out and had lunch and an hour later pure liquid diarrhea. TMI - I

What to do next for treatment
I have prostate cancer which started over 3 years ago, I did chemo and lupron which seemed to work great for couple of years then PSA started going up like to 122. I must mention that I have the BRCA 2 gene which makes my cancer somewhat aggressive. My onc put me on Xtandi which worked for 7-8 mos but

Tomorrow is my first appt with a Nephrologist. I referred myself, as my PCP is not taking my 3 month GFR range 52-57, dehydration, and anemia very seriously. His advice? Drink tons of h20 with lemon and reduce protein intake a lot. My potassium, sodium, and protein levels are normal. Blood pressure is

Hi all! Looking for some advice, I have not been formally diagnosed with fibromyalgia yet however, it has been suspected from my GP. I have tried Naproxen, dicyclomine sodium and now I’m on amitriptyline to help me manage my full body chronic pain and chronic fatigue which also seem to not be working

First post - Esomeprazole (Nexium)?
Firstly, I am so grateful to have found you all. I am going through this completely alone. I don't even have confidence in my rheumatologist. I need some advice on Nexium...anyone got any experience with this? Background: diagnosed end of November 2019 (One week after my 70th birthday!) (PMR, then

RECENT EPISODE on 24 January 2020
Though I had experience of knocking sensation before but last Friday's episode was really dreadful after my dinner. On sitting I felt a pressure on mid-chest area, it was something like I have been locked from inside and can get relief if I have some belching. Noted the BP which was high 180/70 HR 78

Dangers of b12
I read this on web MD - is it correct? Vitamin B12 is LIKELY SAFE for most people when taken by mouth, applied to the skin, taken through the nose, administered as a shot, or injected into the vein (by IV). Vitamin B12 is considered safe, even in large doses. Mild itching has been reported in one person

I'm confused - am I recovering?
It was almost 9 months ago I took two shots of liquid Flucloaxillin and got the worst case of post infectious Ibs. I'm actually under the belief that I had c-diff as after 3 weeks after taking the two little doses I had water coming out. I was petrified and horrified especially seeing as I was doing

Raynauds Disease, Positive ANA, normal complement levels, I'm lost.
Hello :) I was just diagnosed with Raynauds and tested positive for elevated ANA titer. I don't know by how much because I was not given the results. My doctor emailed me and told me to get more blood drawn. All of my CBC bloodwork came back normal. Glucose, magnesium, sodium, all normal range. ESR perfect

Subarachnoid haemorrhage
I had a valve replacement in 2018 with good recovery. In October I had a subarachnoid haemorrhage with similar symptoms prior to it happening. Yet again symptoms ignored by GP. Severe hypertension, low potassium and high sodium. Passed out in the street. 10 day stay in hospital after diagnosis.
