I have been on Urso for a couple of years now and have had a dry irritating cough for at least that long. I don't know if it is due to the Urso, side effects do state cough and sore throat. I just wonder if anyone has had this problem and what to do about it. I am on nexium 40mg daily and taking an antihistamine, thought it might be due to GERD or allergy, but it hasn't made a difference. Just getting worse. I went to see my doctor, I had an endoscopy but nothing showed up. Hope someone can shed some light on this for me. Thanks

Dry irritating cough
I have also had a dry cough since I have been on urso and wondering if its from urso also I have trouble with my nose beening over dry. I have for years took a antihistamine so I stop but still have over dry nose. recipes
I don’t have the dry cough, but wonder do you take your URSO with plenty of water and following a proper meal not just a snack.
I find I have to drink at least a glass of water to get them to go down fully and I have had the experience of the powder coming back up to make me cough and sneeze if I’ve not swallowed them properly and they break open.
I wonder if this could be a symptom of Sjögren's syndrome which seems to go hand in hand for a lot of people with PBC. On the following NHS link it does show a dry cough under other symptoms. On the other hand I wonder if changing the brand or type of URSO that you have might help.
Maybe you must stop antihistamine pills for some days and see the difference! I once mixed Nexium taking with buscopan and my right side of chest started to ache as it was a heart attack! you must try for yourself!
