HI all, I finally got my b12 back on track, but dealing with a serious iron deficiency. I've always been anemic. I guess that goes along with PA. But, I've been feeling extra tired and foggy. New bloodwork shows the usual low rbc, but now my

Availability of Sodium Cromoglicate
Hi, is anyone else having supply issues with Sodium Cromoglicate at the moment? It’s been a bit hit or miss the last couple of months, but today the pharmacy attached to our GP said they can’t get it. They are having one more try and then suggest we take the prescription around pharmacists to see if

Lamotrigine and Sodium Valproate.
My neurologist is now talking about adding Sodium Valproate to my current 400mg daily dose of Lamotrigine. Does anyone else take that combination and if so how has it been? And what other drugs are people taking along with Lamotrigine?

Please help me form a plan of action based on my blood results!
Just got my bloods back and would appreciate any advice what all these could mean and/or how I can myself get well(er) as I am not at all convinced this knowledge will ever come from my clueless but kind GP and NHS Endo. By way of background, thyroid disease runs in my family, and I have had years

Paper: elevated b12 bound to immunoglobulins masking B12 deficiency
Latest paper from Wolffenbuttel of "The many faces of cobalamin deficiency" fame. Fascinating! https://casereports.bmj.com/content/15/1/e247660.long (full text available) Abstract: In clinical practice, the finding of an elevated serum B12 concentration is often the consequence of supplementation

Association of maternal urinary fluoride concentrations during pregnancy with size at birth & potential mediation effect by maternal thyroid
Relatively unusually, I'm posting this partly because of the "it's not thyroid" aspect! We have had many, many posts regarding fluoride and whether, how, it might affect the thyroid gland and thyroid hormone levels. The fact that the increased birth size and weight in this study appear not to be due

leflunomide, infliximab and hair loss
hi everyone, I’ve been having infliximab infusions plus leflunomide 10mg for about four months now and my main side effect has been weight loss ( down to about 6 and a half stones now, worryingly). Now my hair has started to come out much more than usual. My gp has prescribed Imodium to try to stem
