Viamin C flush
Hi, Just wondering if anyone has ever trie a sodium ascorbate flush for their RA. Or even a 3 day fast, as I've read that both can be helpful. Thanks.

Have I really reached the last hitching post. Its truly surreal.
At the risk of being mellow dramatic, I have recently been disqualified from a clinical trial bombesin) due to lack of expression on the Psma pet scan, prior to this brief attempt at a novel clinical trial I was on my 6th round of carboplatin and cabataxal, my M.o informed me of a couple more trials

Hi Everyone, apart from a multitude of symptoms which are ongoing something else that has been nagging me since my last blood results in Sept 20 was the fact that there was an asterisk mark against one of my iron results and i would welcome any input from anyone who understands

Amlodipine question
Does anyone know if amlodipine can be taken on an ad hoc need-to basis as opposed to a once-daily therapy? My mom's BP is largely stable on a very low sodium diet, and only spikes if we go off track. Thank you.

Low sodium levels anyone?
I started to feel headaches and a bit woozy when I reduced from 3mg to 2 of Pred, so my GP has increased me back up to thr original 15mg, reducing soon to 10 and so on. However, as my kidney function had been low for thr last few months (57) I made a conscious effort to avoid salty foods. Yesterday’s

Citalopram
I am quite traumatised as Citalopram almost killed me. I had to stop it cold turkey in November. The side effects came on slowly over about 8 months beginning with feeling withdrawn and one muscle shaking in my hip. It progressed to problems with coordination including feeling my eyes were not working

Coming off Sodium Valproate
I stopped taking sodium valproate about three weeks ago after cutting down to half a pill for a few months. I'm a little worried as I've seen a lot said about the possibility of seizures and would like to know how long of not taking it would have me in the clear? I'm unable to go see a Dr so would really

Clinical Trial Niraparib or XOFIGO
Good morning, I am new to this forum and am thankful for having found it. I am trying to learn as much as I can about my husband’s diagnosis and pray that we are making the best decisions for his treatments. To this point we have not sought out a 2nd opinion and have wholeheartedly trusted in the treatment

Hello , my question relates to my bloods, re Vitamin B12 replete Plasma Folate level, is a result of 7ng/ml ( 4.0-20.0) considered low?
Think i may have hypothyroidism. I have epilepsy and been using medication for 40yrs, sodium valproate/epilim. Just discovering it can stop vitamins and minerals being absorbed into the body properly and cause Thyroid problems. My bloods came back as deficient in vitamin D, as 24 nmol/l , testing range

Pre screening for the clinical trial. I didn't know what I didn't know.
this past Thursday I was eligible to be pre screened for the clinical trial, I am now in that category, at least temporarily because it was determined I am anemic, I am scheduled for a transfusion next week to bring my count up. I am in between chemo, as well i have extensive bone Mets and luckily

Saw my Oncologist today, not good news.
Those following me know I've had bad luck with pain and treatments, getting pain under control has been a real challenge and last 3 treatments have failed. The Radium 223 saw my PSA rise quickly half way through, he tried Zytiga + Predisolone my PSA initially dropped to 88 in early Nov but by Dec it

Breakfast smoothie
I'm looking for a breakfast smoothie recipe that will keep me going to lunch. Something that is low potassium, phosphorous and sodium? My normal go to is banana and oats but looking for something with spinach and banana replacement?

More Radium 223 vs EBRT questions
Though this quote is from an old Vogelzang article, it does not seem contradicted by newer studies: "Both EBRT and radium-223 are effective at relieving pain, but both may decrease bone marrow function. Since radium-223 has a documented survival advantage compared with the standard of care, which includes
