Surgery and more surgery!
Hi guys, hope you’re all doing OK. So I had surgery nearly 5 months ago on my stomach, and since then I’ve had terrible pain in my shoulder. It aches, throbs and burns, and it runs across my shoulder up my neck, and down my arm. I had shoulder and neck MRIs this week, and found out yesterday I have

8cm cyst on my ovary - how do you all cope with the pain whilst waiting for surgery?!
I collapsed at home beginning of June and was admitted with suspected appendicitis (pain is all right sided). CT scan cleared appendix, but showed a 7cm cyst on my right ovary. Discharged as ‘non-emergent’ as it was not ruptured or infected - given codeine for pain, told I’d be added to the gynae outpatient

week 5 run 3 with a total hip replacemebt
Hello again I wasn’t sure I would ever run again following my hip replacement let alone run consistently for 20 minutes!!!!! I have a warm up and warm down programme and strengthening with pilates and swimming which I think is helping. I have also repeated a few of the weeks until I feel more confident

numb hand after CABG op
Hi I’m new here, After having CABG surgery I awoke with a numb left hand, has anyone else had this and if so how long did it take to sort out? It’s just coming up to 2 weeks post op, I have seen online that this could be caused by nerves being stretched, please let me know if anyone has any suggestions

My husband may need lumbar decompression surgery. Dr is recommending platelet replacement therapy and water therapy first. This is due to spinal stenosis and leg and back pain. Does anyone have experience with this

Hope or preparation for death?
I would like to hear your insights on my huge dilemma. My 63 year old mom was diagnosed with glioblastoma grade 4, had a successful surgery with 99.99% taken out. On Monday we go to an oncologist who will tell her and my dad what this diagnosis actually means. So far, they know it's "bad news" but they

Hysterectomy and Lung Endo
Just wondered if anyone has had endo removed from their lungs during the hysterectomy surgery? I've been told I need a full hysterectomy including ovaries and they're assuming my bi-lateral pleural thickening is also endo. I'm hoping they'd do both at the same time so that I don't have to have two lots

8 years and counting.
well 8 years ago I got the sad face from my doctor. 50/50 chance of 5 years. Now as my wife would say I’m past my expectations date. On top of that just had hip surgery on both hips. Went in for one hip, left hip ball worn out, but x rays showed that the cancer had eaten all the way across the femur

New rules at GP surgery
My lovely GP retired a year ago and has not been replaced, and pressures on the Health Centre have led to the inevitable! I showed up a couple of weeks ago for my two monthly B12 jab only to be told that my levels needed to be tested and a review of B12 required. I had been supplementing with sublingual

Frenulum issue post ZSR Adult circumcision
It’s the day 120 post Circumcision + Frenuloplasty surgery. Things finally started to settled down until recently I realised the initial pulling sensation below my glans came from the Frenulum. It doesn’t hurt when my penis is fully erect, however initially when I wake up and the morning erections

Diaphragm surgery
Hi all. Has anyone had surgery for endo on the diaphragm? Finally got an mri done on my chest and my suspicions were confirmed that I do, indeed, have an endo nodule on my diaphragm . I have widespread stage 4 endo in the pelvic area also, and I am now under the care of the endo centre at Southmead

Not much suspected endometriosis doesn’t need surgery?
So had an MRI, had follow up today, found out my uterosacral ligament was 4mm which is apparently thickened and looks like endometriosis. He also said in my report that I read after the meeting (he didn’t mention it in the meeting) that I have left ovary that is apparently very close to the body of my
