Hi everyone ā¤ļø Update on visit to gp yesterday, firstly I will say she was one of the most down to earth gps I've ever seenš she had all my information to hand, she'd obviously done her homework which is rare with some , if not all gps today. Ryeqo
hi everyone, Looking for some reassurance before starting to take Ryeqo. Itās making me nervous that all I can find are negatives for taking. I have been asked to take in preparation for surgery as the endo is just taking over and they want to slow down the growth. I also have IIH, Ryeqo reviews

Follow-up with haematologist
I saw my (private) haematologist last night and confessed my B12 EOD habit. It took him several minutes to come down off the ceiling and have a proper discussion with me as I made my argument: that, if I'd followed the NICE protocol I wouldn't be where I am today (mostly functioning well), I wouldn't

MRI false positive?
After waiting 16 months for surgery I finally had my lap yesterday which didnāt find any endo - it was done with a specialist at a BSGE centre too. Iām so confused as 16 months ago I had a MRI which showed thickened uterosacral ligaments, mild adhesions near right ovary and right ovary possibly stuck

Doctors.... blood tests..... need I say more??
I have Hashis, Addisons and a slew of other things.... my old consultant (private not NHS) often called me a modern medical mystery! I have Addisons (PAI) but about 2 years after my diagnosis I had to have steroid injections in my spine- caused my BP to rise to dangerous levels and it's never come down

Diagnostic laparoscopy with ablation

Should I ask for a CA125 test or just wait until my next ultrasound in 2 months to see if the mass is still the same size?
I had my MRI at the end of June after an ultrasound and CT scan couldn't tell for sure if there was a mass or not. The MRI shows it to be a 3.2 cm endometrioma along with a 1.5 cm pedunculated cyst. The OB/GYN I saw the week after the MRI said they could do a laparoscopy and take it out as that's the

Tension headaches
Iāve been having headaches most days since March this year. Mostly in my forehead & not awful pain but Iām aware my head hurts. I have been to my surgery at least 4 times & still no explanation as to whatās causing them. I do have pulsating tinnitus to which doesnāt help as it keeps me awake which

I know things have changed, just curious
12 years ago when I was diagnosed my biopsy came back at 4+4 =8. I was 62 yrs old at the time. I subsequently had surgery and they found the cancer was contained and I was downgraded to 4+3 = 7. I then went six years until I needed SRT, and have now gone 6 more years and my PSA is easing upwards again

I promise not to write a book!I had a horrendous day yesterday. My husband drove me to the Opticians yesterday because I can't drive any more. I was there for an hour and was in agony. When we got home I had to lie down because the pain was out of control and then my leg's started with a thousand hot

How to feel after diagnosis?
I started with endo symptoms in 2020, in 2022 I finally had a laparoscopy to diagnose me with endometriosis. Since then my specialist told me itās a mild case etc and apart from going onto the pill it was just using pain management. The pain got gradually worse and my specialist gaslit me into thinking

Anyone have experience with Anthem BCBS denying LVA surgery? If your insurance approved it, which insurance do you have?
Recently had my upcoming LVA/LVNA surgery denied by Anthem BCBS and was curious if anyone has had this happen to them with eventual approval. Not sure if I should let the surgical team/office handle the appeals independently, or be more personally involved in the appeals process. Additionally, if you

Gp just rang...š¤
Hi everyone ā¤ļø A gp as just rang asking me to see her today at 4.45, I have no doubt this is in relation to the letter I wrote to the practice manager in the awful treatment I have received by the surgery concerning synthetic thyroid medication they have been pushing on me the last 5 years. Looking for ways to build bone
I lift weights three times a week, walk, bike, and use a vibration plate plate for exercise. I want to pick up a weighted vest to use with walking to add to my workout and possibly help my bones. I have read that a good starting point is around 5-10% of your body weight. For those of you that have

Is it ethical for GP to withdraw thyroid meds with no notice?
I've been on combination Levo and Armour for 20 years or so and well since 2016 when and NHS endo sorted out the levels and backed NHS prescribing Armour. On Monday the Armour was removed from my repeat script. I moved 2 years ago and the new GP's have written the script because I have the backing
