phenol and heart Arrythmia

I have a 12 year history of having heart Arrythmia’s , 3 episodes of AF for which I had Cardio ablation 3 years ago , the rest ectopics, supraventricular and premature ventricular

During this time I have worked for NHS Trust as a Podiatrist, I do a weekly nail surgery clinic and use the product Phenol to ablate the toenails , the room we use has no ventilation system, we open the window, and or the door which depending on weather may cause a through draft.

My question is could this be the the trigger to these heart Arrythmia,s ?

last week the weather was 29c in clinic and 40 hours later I had a prolonged episode of supra/premature ventricular ectopics they lasted 5 days and have stopped with 10mg propanolol daily..

I have asked at work to stop doing any further nail surgery going forward but may need to give more information concerning the risks

Maybe someone else has had similar?

Hopefully a member of the forum will be able to give you some advice about this or maybe check with a Medical professional to see if this could be triggering your Arrhythmias.

Thank you for your reply Sam , the “beats “ have settled and work have agreed to no more contact with phenol for me

Health and safety have decided I have probably developed a “sensitivity “ to phenol and no further action required
