Satisfactory Serum free T4?
Hi everyone, First time posting anything but my latest results say satisfactory T4 result, as a comment from the health professional. The result is out of the range so I am wondering if I am being fobbed off. Results as follows: TSH - 1.64 mIU/L (0.38-5.33) Serum free T3 - 4.8 pmol/L (3.8-6.0) Serum

Causes Of Breathlessness

Low carb confusion
I'm so confused. My CRP level is high. Looking up CRP, the 'C' stands for carbohydrate. So I presumed cutting down on carbs would be the thing to do to get my CRP level under control. I looked up low carb diets and recipes. Most sites say to avoid bread, pasta & root veg. BHF site says to eat bread,

Am I going insane?
Hmm so I’m just wondering, do those of you with PA that self inject regularly still suffer extreme fatigue and body aches and pains or other symptoms? I have celiac disease and that’s in remission thanks to a gluten free diet and I self inject fortnightly. I follow a good gut health diet but was told

Peak flow app with reminders
Can anyone recommend a peak flow recording app for iPhone that notifies you when it’s time to take a measurement? I’ve been using asthma md but it doesn’t have this feature and I keep forgetting to take my peak flow. Thanks in advance.

Point of Interest
I was just trawling over my last very full blood results to see what I could learn. Again! All this towards taking T3 which appears to be my very necessary direction. Really there were no surprises. Vit D low, minor so far knock on effect to bone tests etc etc. However, for thoroughness and making

getting better but anxiety over future
Hi, I was diagnosed with asthma last September after being in hospital for ten days with a bad exacerbation. All out of the blue. I was on oxygen for most of it and coughing up thick green stuff after a chest infection. Could hardly breathe and almost in ICU. After recovering from that I picked up more

Order of treatment?
My husband has been on Abiraterone for 5 months during which time his PSA has risen,. Before that he had had 6 rounds of Docetaxel which also saw his PSA rise. Having waited for 6 weeks to have a biopsy and get the results for neuroendocrine PC (he didn’t have it) his oncologist has said he can either

Dad with Stage 4 PCa - Need some words of wisdom...again please!
Hi everyone. Just got back from appointment with Dad's oncologist. To keep you up to speed - 3 months ago, his ADT injections stopped working and his PSA started to climb up slowly. Oncologist put Dad on Enzalutamide - been on it for 6 cycles - tolerated well but his PSA has gone from 76 to 87 in one

Progress at last
Haven’t posted for a long time. Some of you may know that after reaching my goal of a 10k continuous run I contracted COVID in September 2022. Diagnosed with Long Covid in December 2022, really struggled to even walk 400 yards but saw an improvement last Summer and got to Week 7 all be it very slowly

naltrexone
Has anyone out there tried low dose Naltrexone for their RLS? My doctor is considering this as part of a long term rotation plan to manage dependence and augmentation. I haven’t found a lot of information yet, but interested in having as many options

Letting people down because of IBS
I'd made arrangements to go on a 250 mile train ride to help family members with a really difficult family problem. I knew it was a risk booking tickets and making commitments, but I gambled on it. The stress has been awful the past 3 weeks to a month now. I kept "positive-talking" myself and saying
