cirrhosis and symptoms
My husband has been monitored for liver problems for the last few years. He is a very heavy drinker and has been for a long time. I have been with him for 23 years plus. Last year he had an internal bleed though they couldn’t find where it was and was inconclusive. The consultant gastroenterologist

My Recovery so far post Stem cell Transplant
Sorry I've been absent for so long, my stem cell transplant journey has been a difficult one to be honest and only now do I feel able to be able to tell the story so far. Thank you to everyone who kindly messaged me to see how I was and apologies for asking so long to respond. I really appreciated

Do you tell friends / family
I was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis 2 weeks ago. Still in shock as caused by taking azaphoprine for my ulcerative colitis. Anyway, I haven’t told many people only close friends and no one from work. Then, my partner told his mate down the pub, now I feel really upset and can’t believe he told someone

hi everyone, I understand this post is outside of all thing colon and bowel related. However, I’ve been asked to let proole know about my results. Plus, there doesn’t seem to be a hub for abdominal, renal and other related issues. I finally had my scan on 27th April. The results haven’t appeared on

Anyone had a coronary sinus reducer?
I haven't been on here in a long while. My medical history is pretty complex, I'm seen locally at the Bristol Heart Institute but also under the care of the Cardio-oncology team at the Royal Brompton which a forum member told me about years ago thankfully. Basically my bone marrow transplant and other

advice
Hi All. First time on here. I’m currently being worked up at Boston VA hospital for a kidney transplant. Being a veteran, the VA will pay for transplant at a community hospital here in Boston. I’m not sure exactly what to expect… any thoughts? Thanks in advance

Update
Hi I posted a couple of weeks ago about my brother who is currently in the QEB with liver disease. You all gave such helpful advice so i’m here with an update. Things have been up and down. A few days ago he finally got a room on a liver ward as opposed to the general ward, this has been much better

Is it common to get chronic nose bleeds with aps?
Just wondering as my father has been getting nose bleeds constantly lately. They've tried to cauterize (no joy) they've put a camera up the nose to try and see where it's coming from can't see anything with camera. Last year his artery's were blocked so he needed stents as it caused a heart attack. I'm

yay. I’m not alcohol dependent. I won’t know until Thursday if there’s any weight loss. I suspect not, as I love sweets. But after next weekend and my daughters 40th little do, I’m going to try another challenge of ‘no sweets’. Oh dear that will be hard. But I thought the alcohol was impossible and

I already take cod liver oil on top of my prescribed fluoxetine, Levo, cerazette (birth control) and loratadine(antihistamine). Can I take everything bar the Levo at the same time
