Hi I need some advice please. My husband has alcohol related liver disease and fibrosis. I have noticed that the skin round his eyes and the corners of the eyes are yellow. He has also now said he is struggling to walk as it’s hurting everywhere and he said he lost control of his bowels this morning,

Liver enzymes elevated
Hi everyone! I was diagnosed in 2019 and have been on mtx since then. Remicade was added in 2020 and I’m doing great on both of these meds. My most recent ALT was 129. Up from 44 which was a few months ago. Prior to starting meds my enzymes were in the teens or below. I have messaged my doctor and am

MELD SCORE OF 7
Well, they cured the hep c, but he has much liver scarring and he was told there is not much he can do to help himself except have a protein drink at night and get on a
transplant
list if the MELD score gets to 12. Surely
liver
specialists can do more than that ?

Xenotransplantation of pig heart
Hello everyone. I’m sure we have all read about the recent pig kidneys transplanted into humans successfully. Well, it appears it’s been done again but this time it looks like a heart transplant was done. It’s too early to tell, but this case here seems to be more beneficial towards making it a reality
