Just wondering as my father has been getting nose bleeds constantly lately. They've tried to cauterize (no joy) they've put a camera up the nose to try and see where it's coming from can't see anything with camera. Last year his artery's were blocked so he needed stents as it caused a heart attack. I'm just wondering if it's worth mentioning aps as a possibility my dad might have as I do? I'm just concerned how they are going to stop this if they can't see anything, but wondering if aps could be causing it and if anyone knows if nose bleeds are part of aps?

Is it common to get chronic nose bleeds with aps?
High blood pressure can cause this problem.
Deviated septum? Surely this has been checked. Also... surely they have run blood work to establish health and function of platelets. You might ask that.
Will look into that. You would like to think they would check but the health service in the UK at the moment is pretty bad. They had him sat in a chair in the hospital with a nose bleeds for 3 days (no beds) then he developed sepsis and they still had him in a chair. I had to go there and beg them to get him in a bed as I was so worried.
Hi you have had some sensible replies here, which would have been mainly what I would have said. Hopefully the doctors will get to the bottom of it and it will stop, I know once when pregnant on and injecting Fragmin I had a nose bleed for weeks, it just would not stop, but one day, I awoke and it had stopped. of course you should tell your Dad’s Physician about APS! This is a serious blood disorder and contrary to one of the chatty Crones, the bleeds don’t always “just go away!” And find one of the rare Doctors who know what APS is Or at least can spell. It!!!!
I would definitely request that he be tested for APS. I’ve had nosebleeds since long before I was diagnosed with APS - so if there is a connection or not I don’t know, but I’d guess there is.
