LITHIUM TOXICITY
I am new here. I have been on LITHIUM for the past 18 years. Have been arguing with my psychiatrist over blood tests, as my last one was January 2021. I now feel very, very unwell, but he doesn’t seem to care. Unfortunately, I live in Spain and have a language barrier.

Mouth Ulcer relief!
I just want to share that I have found a few things that have brought me some significant relief as I deal with mouth ulcers on my lips, tongue and gums. I found a mouthwash at Natural Grocers called Miracle Mouthwash. It it manufactured by "Uncle Harry's Natural Products" and claims to be non-toxic,

Depression and thyroid
I know there is connection between depression and hypothyroidism ( been on100mgm levothyroxine for years) but many doctors don't seem to want to address this. I have arranged a private test because my GP always says my results are normal, so there's nothing more to discuss. I feel l need to know

Low stomach acid tests
I asked some questions about B12 and Diarrhoea here: https://healthunlocked.com/pasoc/posts/145437733/vit-b12-and-diarrhoea Some people came back suggesting that low stomach acid (hypochlorhydria or achlorhydria) is a cause of stomach acid. I did the sodium bicarbonate "burp" test and it seems I might

Zoledronic acid infusion - side effects sound horrendous. Any advice?
Hi folks, My osteoporosis consultant has recommended an intravenous infusion of Zolendronic acid, as I can't stomach the Alendronic acid tablets. My last DEXA scan was January 2019 - the numbers I can't remember but they were at a low level yet not low enough for treatment. Consultant says they are

Hydroxyzine and interactions
Has anyone here taken hydroxyzine with lithium or trazodone for anxiety? I’ve been reading that interactions between one or the other can be serious and was wondering if anyone else has had any issues with it.

Meds gone
Hi. I’m writing here cause I don’t know what to do. Recently my lithium ran out before I could get a re up. I called my doctor but the secretary said she (the doctor) can’t give me more. Now I’m looking at four days without lithium. It might sound weird but I feel like it might affect my moods and thoughts

RLS AND DIET
Hi guys. My name is Jonas, 27yo, I was born in Brazil and in 2017 I moved to US. Since I was little (I can't even remember when it started) I have suffered with RLS. I remember getting beat up because my parents mad at me for not being able to sleep. It was really hard for me as a kid to describe what

Coming off Lithium cold turkey
My doctor told me that because of my lab results I need to go off of Lithium I had been taking 300 mg a day. So as a person with bipolar I’m curious if anyone has any experience going off of Lithium?

Excess saliva, swallowing issues, PEG
Hello everyone, My husband was just diagnosed with PSP a few weeks ago, mostly because he suddenly developed swallowing difficulties. This has progressed very rapidly and since April 9th he has been unable to manage more than a few tablespoons of applesauce daily to take necessary prescription medication

Low dose Lithium to prevent dementia in Parkinson’s
I have been prescribed low dose , 180 mg, Lithium as a prophylactic for dementia in Parkinson’s. I wondered if anyone has heard of or has experience with this medication for this or knows of references to research. I’m being cautious because of the potential of making my chronic kidney disease worse

I take my Levothyroxine 1st thing an hour before food but not sure which are suitable foods to eat for breakfast
I’ve read in the Role of Vitamins & Minerals in Thyroid Disease leaflet, that taking iron at the same time as thyroid hormone will bind with some of the thyroid hormone & block it’s absorption. Also, fibre & calcium carbonate if taken simultaneously with thyroid hormone, may also interfere with absorption
