~Progress update on low dose Naltexone~
I wrote several months ago on a fairly controversial topic regarding starting the use of Low Dose Naltrexone (orally 0.5mg) which in a short time made me feel nauseous even on such a low dose. Pharmaceutical Compounding made me a paraben free cream & I apply to areas of inflammation or where it hurts

The North American Menopause Society is changing their recommendations for HRT.
Also this method optimizes changes in the lipid profile (lowers
LDL
/TG and increases HDL) and does not increase sex hormone binding globulin thus allowing for better bioavailability of testosterone. 4.

Is it the thyroid problem that makes me feel so ill ?
I have never been told my thyroid reading and neither by HDL or
LDL
for the cholesterol reading. Checking on the thyroid UK website apparently my blood tests can appear normal even if they are not !

The reason for cholesterol increase in hypothyroidism
This processing lag is largely explained by a reduction in the number and activity of
LDL
receptors, which have the function of helping metabolize
LDL
cholesterol.

Hi all I hope the sun is shining in your part of the country. I have been looking at my results and comparing them over the last few months. I was diagnosed last October with early stage MF. They have all decreased but are still ok but when I looked at LDH it has risen from 675 last November to 737 in

Free Triiodothyronine/Free Thyroxine Ratio rather than Thyrotropin is more associated with Metabolic Parameters in Healthy Euthyroid Adults
Just how healthy were the subjects that any of them went on to develop metabolic syndrome? Nonetheless, this is interesting in that it reinforces the importance of FT3 (even just as it relates to FT4 to produce the FT3:FT4 ratio) and reduces, again, the power of the TSH test. Please explain TPO vs TgAb tests
Hi folks - Thank you all for this forum. I've found it very helpful :-) last summer I was dx with Hashi's based on high TPO test. It was initially 134 and was able to get it down to 98 by getting off gluten and starting Low Dose Naltrexone. After being on this site, I asked my Doc to do the TgAb test
