(LDN) Low Dose Naltrexone - Experience?
Hello, Does anyone here take LDN for inflammation? I have just been prescribed it by a private doctor and before I go and add yet another medication to the list of daily pills I pop, I thought I would ask all you wonderful people about your own experiences. Has anyone found that it has helped them?

New test LDH LACTATE DEHYDRO.. can anyone explain it to me?
My dad's oncologist ordered a new test for this three-month checkup, the LDH LACTATE DEHYDRO. I tried Google for a suitable answer and while I understand that it's related to cancer, I was curious to know about the direct relationship with prostate cancer. Most of the articles that I pulled up show

Cholesterol Update
My blood test results in June: Total Cholesterol 6.91 mmol/L
LDL
4.45 HDL 1.77 Triglycerides 1.49 Chol/HDL Ratio 3.90 The concern is the
LDL
cholesterol being too high. The GP checked my QRISK score, (10 year risk) as 5.62%, which they said is perfect.

Stopping statins
I go see local MD who refers me to a cardiologist and finally orders a cholesterol panel: Total cholesterol 307, triglycerides 157, and
LDL
a whopping 209. Do you know the word ‘ iatrogenic ‘?!!! I have an echo and stress test scheduled, and am taking a daily aspirin in addition to my gd statin!

How not to die from diabetes!
Just as “moderate changes in diet usually result in only moderate reductions in
LDL
cholesterol levels,” how moderate do you want your diabetes? “Everything in moderation” may be a truer statement than some people realize.

New to site - diagnosed hypothyroidism with high cholesterol
I have, for a long time, had higher than normal cholesterol levels but dr has always said not to worry as ratio HDL to
LDL
was usually ok.

Coming off statins
The reason for this is that I want to either do the same or reduce my doseage asap, possibly after year one, my cholesterol was never high before and thanks to my diet, is dangerously low, both
LDL
and total.
