Why am fat: Hello am 23 years old. Am... - Cholesterol Support
Why am fat
You need to look at your waist to height ratio, Google has chart with explanation.
Also have a look at all the three blood numbers, blood glucose, blood pressure and blood cholesterol.
Human body weight distribution, there is no ne exercise to loose weight in the area you have mentioned but in the gym there are number of activities at the you can do to get a healthy body.
If you are concerned about your cholesterol levels then food intake control can help and also watching out for free and hidden sugar in food and drinks.
Cut out all bread potatoes rice pasta etc, eat all veg that grows above ground, not root veg.Don't buy any diet food what so ever, they all contain loads of sugar. Cook from fresh chicken beef pork fish with plenty of veg..Go easy on the milk choose cream instead and you can eat real grass-fed butter, do not buy low-fat cheese yet again full of sugar, eat full-fat cheese. Fruit is full of sugar even natural sugars with fruit can cause weight gain. The news that full fat causes peoples arteries to clog up is out dated...Diabetes has increased 10 fold over the years because people have been eating low-fat high sugar foods. Research is now showing that natural fats do not make us fat or cause health problems, high sugar and flours white or wheat do. I have been eating this way for a year after being told that I was pre-diabetic and my sugars were high. My sugars are now at a normal level, Cholesterol good, what did I cut out? Foods with high sugar and carbs. The only fruit that I eat now is Berries with fresh cream or full fat natural greek yogurt. I have lost a lot of weight and feel the best that I have felt in a long time after having a heart attack 14 years ago. My arthritis has eased also as carbs feeds on inflammation. Do some research on hi carb foods and full fat foods. It is an eye opener
Suggest you look at WFPB NO OIL DIET on the web, I lost a stone and never felt hungry
If you are already on a healthy diet, watch your portions.
Without your BMI or waist to height ratio no diet can be recommended. I would recommend that you go and see your practice nurse and get an assessment of your BMI and from there you can consider diet or exercise.
34.13 kg/m2 (Obese Class I)
My BMI RESULT
anyone can work out BMI online, no need to see a nurse. Get a blood pressure machine and monitor your BP.
The initial post from sonu233 came onto this "cholesterol support" forum asking for help with weight loss. They gave a few random figures and asked for help. Without a coherent data set it is impossible to give good advice. The original comments "Am weighted about 78 kg and I have 2.37 HDL and 1.87 LDCL I have a habit of eating only healthy food but am looking fat with excess belly and buttocks. Can I have any idea how to reduce my belly & buttocks size? " suggest you don't like the look of your body and want to lose weight, my suggestions were to see the practise nurse get your BMI checked and see if there is anything clinically wrong. It is easy to loose weight but with all the figures it is possible to help loose weight safely.
From the initial comments it could be that you have an eating disorder, or the weight gain due to exercise (and just think look too big) or it could be that muscle weighs more than fat or loads of other things.
Forget the oil theory, and you don't need a height and weight ratio to know that you have too much fat around your belly.
There is a very simple answer, you are consuming too many sugars. This includes not only the direct sugars like the white powdery stuff, honey, agave and other sweeteners, but also simple carbohydrates such as white rice, white bread, pizza, pasta and white potatoes. You may also be consuming soft drinks, fruit juices and alcohol. Most packaged goods that come in a box or a bag at the supermarket have hidden sugars. Read the label and look for words that end in 'ose', 'itol', 'ohol', as well as corn syrup and molasses.
Fruit consumption is fine since there is fibre in the fruit itself, but just drinking the juice is like drinking sugar. Soft drinks including diet drinks should be completely avoided due to the sugar and the chemicals and sweeteners in diet drinks play havoc with your metabolism.
Educated yourself about sugar - watch these videos:

You also need to assess your exercise regimen. Walking is only effective if you get your heart rate elevated to over 120 bpm consistently, for the duration of the walk. You should walk for at least 30 minutes per day, 7 days per week. Running is also acceptable although it is tougher on the joints - but must be done for at least 20 minutes per day.
Good luck.
Walking even at a slow pace is very effective for social reasons and vitamin D absorption. Read: statincrap.blogspot.co.uk/s...
Why you'll NEVER get a flat stomach eating these surprising foods (including healthy broccoli and watermelon)
Hundreds of sit-ups won't help your stomach if you're eating these foods
Lin Chang, a professor of medicine, has shared the foods that cause bloat
Surprising offenders include broccoli, beans, watermelon and wheat.
Yoghurt: Many people plump for a yoghurt as a healthy mid-afternoon snack, but certain types will give you a bloated tummy thanks to the high sugar content, which ferments in the body and leaves you gassy. Be sure to choose full fat Greek yoghurt, which has up to a third less sugar.
Broccoli: It's touted as one of the healthiest vegetables but broccoli (and its close relative cauliflower) can cause a very gassy stomach because it contains a carbohydrate called raffinose.
This doesn't get broken down by the body - because our bodies don't produce the enzyme required to - so it ends up fermenting and causing bloating.
Beans: Beans are full of something called resistant starch - a non-digestible fibre that causes bloating. Leave beans to soak in water overnight to break down the starch content.
Watermelon: It might be a delicious summer snack but watermelon is full of fructose and over a third of people's bodies can't properly absorb it. As a result, they are left with a really gassy stomach.
Wheat: Wheat has a high non-digestible fructan content. Many people are intolerant to gluten and are left extremely gassy and even constipated as a result.

One size does not fit all. There are four different human genotypes and each react differently to the same foods. To advise everybody of avoiding natural foods like beans, broccoli, and watermelon, all of which are extremely nutritious and healthy is not good advice. Everyone can judge for themselves based on how they react to these foods. Enlarged tummies are not usually caused by gas, but by the storage of fat based on excess consumption of both calories and sugar.
We know, without debate, that sugar is unnecessary to the human diet, is highly addictive and causes weight gain. You cannot go wrong advocating for the elimination of sugar.
The only healthy type of Greek yogurt is 'plain', no sugar, 0% fat. For the record, I'm Greek, and have lost 40 lbs and have optimal blood chemistry. I eat beans every day as well as one or two slices of 'whole grain' toast and also have broccoli regularly.
So Lin Chang's advice is not universal - it depends on the individual.
Thank you for your comments. I have been on antihistamine medication for 35 years and I gave up last year after reading the side effects. Since late march due to the atmospheric changes I am experiencing some difficulty (allergic reactions) with fresh fruits and vegetables!!!!, I am not going back to any antihistamine medication. Hope to identify the (protein) the fruit or veg responsible that is giving me sleepless nights!
I have been doing a lot of research on both fruits and vegetables. The response above is one of my findings. today I found some more, how different fruits and veg affect different people during the four seasons. I found this very interesting.
I did not know portion from fruits and veg can react at different time of the year.
At the end of the day what goes into them mouth in small quantity of large quantity can be a problem to some humans.
I rest my case.
This is a useful site, if you haven't already come across it.
How much processed and fast foods do you eat???
