anyone tried low dose naltrexone for fertility?
Hi there, I'm just come across Low Dose Naltrexone and the LDN Research Trust and it seems to work miracles on both fertility and autoimmune conditions (I have hashimoto's - auto immune underactive thyroid) and have been trying to conceive naturally for almost three years. I wondered if it's something

So much confusion so much pain
I tell you I struggle every day. I look at pics of my wife from this time last year, 2 years ago 3 years ago. My wife was never a drinker. We had a glass of wine at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Every now and then, maybe once or twice a year. She would have a drink at our friends. When we moved

Good news
A year ago (on T4 only) my GFR, indicating the kidneys filtering ability, was quite a bit below the normal interval, whereas the
LDL
cholesterol was way up. I have been taking Liothyronine now for a year and recently had a whole battery of tests done.

Change of statin medication
I have been contacted by my GP to change my statin from simvastin 80 mg to astorvastin 20 mg. My estimated non HDL is currently at 2.7 and they want it at 2.5. Has anyone had experience of astorvastin?

Feeling very unwell - do my blood results explain why? What to do next?
Hi Mid August My NDT was increased from 2.5 to 3 grains. By the last week in September I began to feel what I describe as a 'bit off' , these feelings come and go. My partner had covid , I tested negative a couple of times. I did have a bit of cough and sore throat but that lasted only a couple

Statins and Liver
Not really had any problems and was happy to know that my cholesterol went down to 4.1 after 6 months, HDL being higher than the
LDL
. However, my Liver Test showed there was an increase in the ALT number, 48 outside the range 0-35. I will have another blood test in 3 months time.

Statins
My Lipids are a bit high: Cholesterol 5.7mmol,
LDL
3.3mmol, Triglycerides 1.3 mmol. I was offered Statins 4 years ago but chose to make diet and lifestyle changes to lower my lipids instead and I was able to do that but they have now gone up again.

NHS endo refused LIO trial based on these latest test results
My
LDL
cholesterol is high at 3.4 nmol/L (1.0-3.0). Having said that, I have more energy and sleep is better than on my previous dose of 75 mcg. I’m on Levo monotherapy and a steroid, Fludrocortisone, for low BP. Am post-menopausal.

LDH high
Looking back, my specialist tested my LDH at diagnosis and it was in fact elevated. He told me that it’s very common for MPN’s to cause elevated LDH levels and said with treatment we can correct them.. is that true? I was worried for a second about any organ or tissue damage, but he reassured and said

Olive oil guys… in a dark can… best you can afford. My ontological perspective..:I’ve always seen that OL and fish/ oil as medicine. My own researcher bias; my own HDL is now over 2 and I eat a supper every night full of crap.

opinions welcome
I’ve been hearing a lot lately about how statins have side effects, and how cholesterol is not the cause of clogging of the arteries, but rather insulin resistance and inflammation That damages the intima and lets out small dense

Further evidence that even moderate exercise is good for your long term health - particularly when you have CLL!
I've often observed that our immediate response when we are diagnosed with CLL, is to re-evaluate our diet (good) and look at how we can extend our time before treatment and improve our life expectancy by taking supplements, for which there limited evidence, particularly when it comes to hopes of boosting
