Following on from my previous post asking for advice before a lipids clinic appointment I thought I’d give you a quick update. So I met my husband at his work so we could both attend it and it was a really good meeting. I was glad of the advice I was given on here as it gave me a few bits to bring up that I hadn’t thought of. My husbands ldl cholesterol us actually 0.5 not the 1.5 I thought it was, and the consultant was very happy with this, and the diet and exercise that my husband is doing. They are going to arrange fior my daughter who is 17 to get her cholesterol checked, and other than this they have said that unless the wheels come off he doesn’t need to see my husband again. No real point to this post other than to say thank you to those who take the time to give advice on here .

I'm glad the appointment went well, Hare123. Well done to your husband on his efforts and his LDL number! I hope your daughter's lipids come back normal.

That sounds like a good result. I’m very glad the bits we chipped in here were helpful.

Best wishes to you both and your daughter.
