Surgery and Fertility
Hi, I was diagnosed on lap in 2019 and recent MRI shows DIE Endo in multiple places / organs. I’ve decided to pay for private lap as I’ve been told my NHS lap will be 2 years time due to waiting times and with pain management surgery is my final straw. I feel awful that I’m paying private but know

hi. Has anyone been prescribed dienogest to help with endometriosis. I’ve had lap and they burned it away but I am still in pain. So I have now been prescribed dienogest. Just wondering if anyone has any positive / negative feedback?

Hi all, I am 26 and was officially diagnosed last September with endo through a lap. I recently had a blood test which showed elevated levels of ca125. I then had an mri scam which they found a cyst bigger than 4cm and fluid in pelvis which I always seem to have whenever they do a scan... My last few

In 2019 I was in hospital with a sharp shooting pain on my right side and was due to have a
laparoscopy
but it never went ahead and I never really got an explanation for that. I have had these pains on and off but when it’s so constant you get used to it.

reoccurring endo/ new consultation
I’m 1.5years post my first
laparoscopy
and diagnosis, and currently on the depo shot. Unfortunately I’m having symptoms again and wondering if I can, and how I go about being referred to an endo specialist rather than a general gynae consultant like I was last time (Not a great experience at all).

How fast can Endometriosis grow back?
hi all, i had my
laparoscopy
last march (2021) where they diagnosed me and did ablation. I had a recent MRI which showed signs of endometriosis - is it possible for endometriosis to grow back this fast and would it be worth pushing for an excision surgery at this point?

Constant localised pain
Hello, I was diagnosed with endometriosis last year, had a laproscopy and they removed a large endometrial cyst, removed all the endometriosis they could find and fitted a marina coil. I'm having the same pain in the side the cyst used to be, a throbbing sharp pain, comes and goes and gets worse if

Zoladex (GnRH agonist) + simultaneous HRT - help!
Zoladex began nearly four month before the
laparoscopy
and subsequent HRT. My question is: - Should I have received HRT as soon as a began Zoladex (Goserelin)? - Is prescribing HRT add-back ONLY after
laparoscopy
then norm when using GnRH agonists?

Severe Endo diagnosis

Low Ovarian Reserve and Laparoscopy
I have been advised by both clinics to leave it well alone due the the high potential of the
laparoscopy
further stripping back an already low ovarian reserve. However I've also seen information suggesting
laparoscopy
is the gold standard for endometriosis. Both for egg quality and implantation.

Diagnostic laparoscopy
I knew that the only way to get a diagnosis was having a
laparoscopy
, but I was not keen on that. Now, after a number of years, I changed my mind.

First specialist appointment
Hey hey, hope everyone is doing ok. Can anyone advise what info is best to take to a first appointment with a specialist? I have tracked my symptoms for years so have all that, and was diagnosed with endo via diagnostic lap last year. Trying to predict what kind of things will be discussed as I

my experience with endo
I had an emergency surgery in the second admission as my previous infection had collected in the middle of my abdomen and I had a
laparoscopy
to clean out the infection. It was then that I was diagnosed with suspected endometriosis as a massive cyst (6cm in Nov 2022) was noted on my left ovary.

Endometriosis diagnosis
Last October an ultrasound found what looked like an ovarian endometrioma, from this the gynae consultant offered me a
laparoscopy
which I went forward with. I had my
laparoscopy
4 days ago and with it being my first every surgery and general anaesthetic I was terrified.

Feeling helpless
He also told me that 70% of his patients who have the
laparoscopy
do not end up having endo - do those statistics sound right to people?

Review of neck fan
I was going to wait a few more days and keep using this, but I wanted to get my review out there for Xvettech and the others who are curious. The ultimate test for me won’t occur until Wednesday, so I’ve only been using this around the house. I have very mixed feelings about it. I do think that if
