Likely Viral meningitis
Hi there, I found this site through researching VM as my GP has diagnosed me as "likely" having it. My story starts about 35 years ago when I was aged 11, I was rushed into hospital with severe headache, vomiting, photophobia and neck stiffness. I was kept in isolation overnight and although I can't

Just to say HI :)
Hello Everybody, I hope everyone is keeping as well as they can and keeping out of the cold. I have not been around so much of late as my work has been mega busy, plus my new lady also takes up a lot of my time, but I just wanted to say I do pop in and read all the stories and news. Since my lung collapsed

Help please, my usual go to food of rice and chicken gave me bad stomach pains last night!
I'm new to this site so still finding my way around. I was diagnosed with IBS a few years ago after a bout of diarrhoea and a normal colonoscopy and it hadn't been too bad until last year when I had my gallbladder removed. A few days later the IBS flared up and has been pretty bad ever since then.

Hi everyone, hope you are feeling ok. I have been catching up reading posts and thought I would just give an update. I had a lovely time in the Lake District and the weather was kind to us. I felt quite well most of the week and had a nice relaxing time, just walked short distances and didn't overdo

Hi All I've been pretty much bedridden for the last 14 months now & am perhaps at my lowest ebb. No energy whatsoever (exhaustion/fatigue). I'm either permanently sweating or freezing cold to the point of uncontrollable shivering under a duvet with an electric blanket on. If asleep, this shivering

Hi there, Sorry to start my first post by looking for help but am getting increasingly desperate. I'm a married man of 43, I was in quite a physical job when I had an attack of sciatica 7 years ago. To cut a long story short - I had to give up working. I've been in pretty much constant pain in back,

How do you cope with pain?
Over the last year I have been experiencing increasing pqin in legs and feet aside from usual neuropathic pain. This is cramping of leg muscles and feet if I take a few steps, only partially relieved with rest. Tried quinine and gabapentin to no avail and only pred seems to relieve it. Also started

Headaches with apixiban
Hi I've been taking apixiban for 5 weeks now. Have the worst headaches I've ever experienced that started 3 weeks ago. I'm taking high strength co codamol and nurofen around the clock to combat them but I'm still in agony. This is night and day. I came off apixiban 4 days ago and was changed to clexane

It was the beginning of August I suddenly got the most horrendous headache I have ever experienced!! I assumed I had a migraine so I put up with the pain all night and half the next day with paracetamol and ibuprofen not touching the pain so I rang my doctor who said it was probably a migraine and prescribed

Showing all the symptoms of Polymyalgia, still waiting to be officially diagnosed after 4 months of unbearable pain

Just knowing you read this will make me feel less lonely.
I really need some help. I've suffered with anxiety since I was 13 years old, depression since 16 years old, suicidal thoughts and self harm since 18 years old and I'm now 20, and I've developed OCD with symptoms of Bipolar disorder too. I've been through 5 years of CBT, psychotherapy, drug rehabilitation
