The Melody Study
I 'qualify' BOTH as a Vasculitis Patient and a 'Solid' Organ Recipient (I had a
Kidney
Transplant
, in July 2013). The Test is, relatively 'easy' to do, a small Finger Prick, followed by a Drop- of blood- onto a Test Strip... similar to the Lateral Flow Test Strips.

My husband hasCKD. I’m so scared
Doctor really scared us by telling us that at his age he would properly require Dialysis and a
kidney
transplant
. We have an appointment to see a specialist on December 14th. I’m so scared because we have three beautiful girls together that still need him for more years to come.

Flare following Prolia?
Good morning, everyone! I wonder if anyone else has had problems following a denosumab (Prolia) injection. I was first diagnosed with PMR in 2015, and at that point, was told to discontinue the alendronic acid that I had been on for many years because it had been discovered it was not the “wonder drug

Painful erection and discharge
I have been trying hard to research and know the issue with me but i can't really find an answer...i normally have good sex with my partner but recently am having pains when my dick is aroused....and most times it stops arising because of the pain. It seems like the pain is from the veins in the dick

The Queen is reigning over her kingdom
This title is absolutely my silliest by far. My kingdom is going to represent my body for the purpose of this post. I went to a follow up with the vascular surgeon last week. He said my fistula would be ready to use if needed in two weeks but that hopefully it would be more like 2 years until I need

HDR Brachytherapy after the 20 fractions?
Hi all I have recently finished 3 x Lu-177 and 3 x Docetaxel infusions whilst hormone sensitive. I have been on Degarelix since November so no idea what's doing what but but my PSA has fallen from 17.6 to 0.19. STAMPEDE type scans showed I would benefit from radiotherapy to the prostate which I can

2 Failed Colonoscopies and Worried about Anemia and CT Colonoscopy Radiation Doses
Hi, I’m in a bit of a pickle. I’ve been urgently referred due to anemia and age (62). But I’ve previously had a terrible experience with colonoscopies. I had 2 agonising failed ones in 2018 and a CT colonoscopy. I also had a abdominal CT 4 months ago. I’m worried about my radiation dose from so many

Nintedanib offers new hope as transplant recommendation approaches
Hi all, It's been a fair while since I last updated - longer than I'd have liked - but in a way its a good thing as I actually have a fair bit to update on as a result... The additional heart tests involving tracers, a CT scan and an hour long MRI which really tested my lung capacity with one or two

TERRIBLE UTI FEELING FOR A MONTH POST SURGERY.
Hello ladies. I am having the worst time with intense bladder pain post diagnostic lap. UTI come back negative for infection so it appears its not bacterial. Anyone else had this experience and able to offer advice? It's crippling and much worse than the pain I had pre surgery. I can't bear more weeks

Transplant waiting list imminent/Nintedanib feedback
Hi all, Been a while again since my last update. I was hoping to bring you definitive news on the transplant situation but we're not quite there yet as I've still to meet the team to discuss when to go on the transplant list and find out how long my window of opportunity might be. However, the good
