Painful erection and discharge
I have been trying hard to research and know the issue with me but i can't really find an answer...i normally have good sex with my partner but recently am having pains when my dick is aroused....and most times it stops arising because of the pain. It seems like the pain is from the veins in the dick

The Queen is reigning over her kingdom
This title is absolutely my silliest by far. My kingdom is going to represent my body for the purpose of this post. I went to a follow up with the vascular surgeon last week. He said my fistula would be ready to use if needed in two weeks but that hopefully it would be more like 2 years until I need

Hi all I have recently finished 3 x Lu-177 and 3 x Docetaxel infusions whilst hormone sensitive. I have been on Degarelix since November so no idea what's doing what but but my PSA has fallen from 17.6 to 0.19. STAMPEDE type scans showed I would benefit from radiotherapy to the prostate which I can

2 Failed Colonoscopies and Worried about Anemia and CT Colonoscopy Radiation Doses
Hi, I’m in a bit of a pickle. I’ve been urgently referred due to anemia and age (62). But I’ve previously had a terrible experience with colonoscopies. I had 2 agonising failed ones in 2018 and a CT colonoscopy. I also had a abdominal CT 4 months ago. I’m worried about my radiation dose from so many

Transplant waiting list imminent/Nintedanib feedback
Hi all, Been a while again since my last update. I was hoping to bring you definitive news on the transplant situation but we're not quite there yet as I've still to meet the team to discuss when to go on the transplant list and find out how long my window of opportunity might be. However, the good

MIN-102 update: summer 2022
Hi everyone, I am persisting with the min-102 trial and yesterday had my 10th visit. Nothing particularly different about the visit: the usual 6 minute walking and balance trials, the annual MRI scan and echocardiogram and the questionnaires and meeting with a specialist. What I did learn is that Minoryx

TERRIBLE UTI FEELING FOR A MONTH POST SURGERY.
Hello ladies. I am having the worst time with intense bladder pain post diagnostic lap. UTI come back negative for infection so it appears its not bacterial. Anyone else had this experience and able to offer advice? It's crippling and much worse than the pain I had pre surgery. I can't bear more weeks

Nintedanib offers new hope as transplant recommendation approaches
Hi all, It's been a fair while since I last updated - longer than I'd have liked - but in a way its a good thing as I actually have a fair bit to update on as a result... The additional heart tests involving tracers, a CT scan and an hour long MRI which really tested my lung capacity with one or two

PTH high after third infusion, can't find a competent endocrinologist to consult
My PTH (parathyroid hormone) turned out to be quite high: 167 after my second chemo. Has never before been tested. Not sure what to make of it. My MO doesn't know what to do, partly because calcium and potassium levels are still ok. My endo is out of the country and I was told he doesn't treat high

So so confused.
Ok met with Doc. She agreed the /triamterene Could have caused a false reading. My blood pressure has been 135/77 sometimes 144/78 I am not taking anything and keeping a long. So I have no diuretic but my ankles are really swelled this afternoon. Did I eat salt this afternoon , probably. I’m trying

In the Rush to Return to ‘Normal,’ What Happens to the Vulnerable? By Sarah Wildman in NYT 04/10/22
“Covid-19 need no longer control our lives,” President Biden announced in the State of the Union address, speaking to a room of unmasked though back-room-tested members of Congress. He then offered, magnanimously: “If you’re immunocompromised or have some other vulnerability, we have treatments and free

ALBUMIN and EDEMA and COMPRESSION SOCKS - oh my!
partner diagnosed decompensated cirrhosis 22.12.21 - stopped drinking the same day. Albumin 18 at diagnosis, 24 at best since now dipped again to 22. How long did people's albumin take to recover - is it normally so slow to improve - in contrast bilirubin gone from 256 to 58 since Dec. He is having

Insomnia induced by opiods
I have been struggling forever with insomnia caused by taking opiods for RLS. Like many of you here it's worth it because the relief from RLS is so wonderful. I recently added Olanzapine 5mg at night for sleep. I know it's on the naughty list as it tends to increase RLS symptoms. I decided to go ahead
