Pre eclampsia
Hi ladies, I am 26 weeks pregnant. At my most recent visit to see my midwife I had a tiny bit of protein in my urine. My blood pressure is fine but they are still concerned that it might be the start of pre eclampsia. I'm not too familiar with this disease so would really appreciate if you would share

Concerns about kidney disease
I recently had my yearly physical .... I am 66 year old female.....with a additional microalbumine test I requested due to flank pain. All my tests came back fairly normal. Creatinine .7, BUN 17, GFR 90. My regular urine test was negative for everything ....But the micro albumin test revealed some

It is a gift to be who you truly are
As divine timing would have it, earlier this year, a 3 part course on ‘Building Sangha’ popped into my inbox. The call of my inner knowing found me signing up without hesitation via ‘Alternatives’ for this trio of 90 minute virtual sessions with Malcom Stern. Malcolm is a psycho-therapist of 30 years

Just add Water....
Interesting article on the benefit (or lack of proven overall GFR benefit) for drinking a lot of water for kidney disease pre-dialysis: https://jasn.asnjournals.org/content/19/6/1041 Personally I do not drink that much water (just normal when thirsty) at this point (eGFR 9.2) because I fear that once

Need some advice, this is so new and scary to me/us
My other half went into
kidney
failure
sept of 2020, we had a live donor in 5/21 he has not sat down since the first week he’s been home. I left him alone for a week and he’s been sanding, “bonding” and getting ready to paint an old 1988 car while on his 3 month leave from work.

Sorry as this may be long but wanted to give you the whole picture as I've become worse and worse over the past few weeks and don't know what to do. I enlisted the help of a private endo by zoom whom I spoke to just after 2 weeks after reducing thyroid Armour to 1 1/2 grains and was told to test 5 hours

Anyone have kidney disease and cannot have contrast?
Husband had kidney function problem and not supposed to have contrast. CC did not listen and did it anyway on a 3 hr. MRI. Now, all his kidney functions on labs are bad, out of range, as well as high calcium and potassium levels. They still insist on contrast with scans but I said no. Anyone have

BK virus and Low WBC
Hi - my dad received a kidney transplant about 4 months ago and at first everything looked great. But recently it showed he had the BK virus. First they lowered his CellCept dose and two weeks later the virus had increased. So they removed CellCept completely and his virus levels were coming down. However

and am really worried about it. My GP says there is nothing that can be done. He also said that autoimmune diseases can cause this. Anyone else in this situation and have you found anything to stop it getting worse? Very grateful for any advice!

Hello, I am traveling to Venice, Italy in October and have exhausted all searches for locations for hemodialysis. Nephrocare, Davita and any other sight that talks about overseas travel does not list Venice as a dialysis location, which cannot be the case. I am hoping someone can give me the name of
