3 year old daughter with PKD
I know she may still have mild PKD, and it won't necessarily lead to
kidney
failure
, it's just a shock, I wasn't expecting to see cysts yet. My husband seems to be lucky, the rest of his family have been much worse than him and all had dialysis/transplants.

Hi all, I thought I'd ask as this is very topical at the moment, especially for the immunosuppressed. Does anyone have any comments on this?

As a person with a spinal cord injury I have things that I deal with in addition to
kidney
failure
. Last week my wheelchair tire popped and I've been riding in my chair that doesn't have air in its tires and I also don't have the feet rests for it.

Confused about Statins
I received a text saying they'd like to discuss my Cholesterol and a medicine for improving my heart and
kidney
health. I'm still under the care of the Heart
Failure
Team, so was a bit surprised by the text.

Look after yourself!
Hi everyone, as you will know from previous posts, my hubby has decompensated liver and is still drinking, with an "If I die, I die" attitude. So today saw me at the GP for myself (felt a bit self indulgent tbh) and I've got low haemoglobin, low vitamin levels, possibly due to Covid a couple of months

PV Patients taking Jardiance or other SGLT2 inhibitors
Jardiance and other SGLT2 inhibitors are becoming an important treatment for diabetes, heart

, and chronic
kidney
disease. This class of drugs has many benefits, including anti-inflammatory effects. I came across reports that these drugs may increase red blood cell formation and hematocrit.

Severe gastric problems- MMF?
I had my kidney transplant in June of 2021 and am currently taking 500mg cell-cept bid. I started to have stomach issues around the 4 month mark, and they have progressed to the point where my daily activities, sleep, and quality of life is impacted. Up until this point, I have felt terrific! I

2nd biopsy, just started on prednisolone. Dietary help pls.
So my doctor had just started me on 25mg of prednisolone indefinitely due to the inflammation (in my kidneys?) as a result of my igA nephropathy acting more aggressively on my body. I am taking effort to abide by a low protein diet at 0.8g/protein/kg body weight per day. Aside from feeling very hungry

Hi, I had recent kidney function test after a high creatine reading, it was 123 umol but after only a week it dropped to 80 umol . I was diagnosed with dehydration as urea was over 7.5 then dropped to 2.4 in that week also after I increased my water intake. I was not drinking enough I have to admit.im

Sad Times 😞
To our horror he was in
kidney
failure
. We tried fluid therapy for two days and the vet referred him to a veterinary nephrologist but when we arrived to take him there he did not even know us so there was no choice. We now have him back home where he belongs.

Hello all I'm not actually sure right now what I'm looking for! I had an urgent cryo ablation in July2021. I was feeling awful almost like I was dying being in continuous fast AF for weeks was causing heart failure and my EP made me a priority as he was concerned. Apparent in October 2021 it wasn't

No get out of jail free card!
My neurologist, told me during one visit early on to " remember that just because a person has a chronic disease, does not give them a get out of jail free card for other illness". That quote has come back to haunt me several times since, the heart attack, kidney stones, and most recently bad news
