Kidney/Ureter/Bladder Reconstructive Surgery Recovery Time?
I will be one year with my new blessed kidney on November 26. I have had 2 rejections and countless surgical procedures mostly due to a narrowing of the ureter causing a backflow of urine from my bladder to my kidney and causing my kidney to swell. After several stent replacements, 2 unsuccessful

D.Mannose advice.
Does anyone know if D Mannose is particularly good for UTI or are the cheaper cystitis powders just as effective? Are these things something that you can take over a long period? I am having problems with UTI which seems to be a side effect of Pred or Methotrexate ( not sure which)- and I am on

Creatinine of 18, but kidney function returning.
I recently spent 3 weeks in the hospital due to surprise
kidney
failure
. My creatinine level was at 18. I was given about 8 dialysis treatments - had a reaction to heparin, so they could not do a kidney biopsy because my platelets were low.

New to PKD
I was diagnosed with PKD in August 2020 following a CT scan after suffering weeks of fevers & unbearable headaches. I had a severe infection in my right kidney; burst abscess led to a near month long hospital stay, cyst drainage & weeks of antibiotics. It all came as a huge shock; but I’m now recovered

Alvesco and headaches
I took ibuprofen and paracetamols which just about took the edge off, but ibuprofen isn’t good for my kidneys (also got chronic
kidney
failure
). I know some asthmatics can’t take ibuprofen but I’m ok with it from that sense.

Your view on what questions I should ask at my teleclinic next week.
Having a teleclinic with one of our cancer nurse specialists on thur (29th Oct) and arranged for her to send me my results BEFORE the teleclinic so I can study the results and ask appropriate questions rather than scribbling down what she says and then asking for them to be posted out to me. Does IP6 Have New Support from A Mayo Physician Report?
Some prostate cancer patients are interested in natural supplements, especially IP6. Here is an abstract of a case report of a melanoma patient achieving a complete remission without traditional oncology from a Mayo Clinic physician (Jacksonville) and two colleagues.. "Inositol hexaphosphate plus inositol

Until a coronavirus vaccine is ready, pneumonia vaccines may reduce deaths from COVID-19
« There are two commonly given vaccines – the pneumococcal vaccine and the Hib vaccine – that protect against bacterial pneumonias. These bacteria complicate both influenza and COVID-19, often leading to death. My examination of disease trends and vaccination rates leads me to believe that broader use

Sleep problems
I am late stage four kidney disease with a GFR of 20. Recently I have had difficulties sleeping at night and wonder if that is common with people at my stage. If so what do you do about it as it adds to the overall feeling of fatigue. My doctor says I am too old for sleeping pills whatever that means

Sixth Consolidation Run
When I got up this morning I wasn’t intending on running until tomorrow. My legs still felt achy from Tuesday’s run. However, after doing a few financial transactions first thing, I felt I needed a run to clear my head and allay anxiety over this uncertainty we are all living. So out I went. Since this

Serum or urine test results for CKD?
How can you judge progress with CKD if there appears to be conflict between serum and urine test results? My mum has CKD stage 3 and had a cancerous kidney removed 3 years ago. My Dad has just 20% function left
Hi Everyone. My Dad had an aneurysm earlier this year and his kidneys have suffered. Now he has 20% function left. SIBO help
Hi All, I’ve recently been told by a naturopath I see that I have hydrogen sulphide SIBO. I tried an elimination diet but it didn’t seem to help. The gastroenterology department at the hospital suggested antibiotics. Has anyone had any experience of this? Can antibiotics affect Hashimoto’s? Thanks

Upper back paon
Hi guys. The past 3 days I’ve had severe upper back pain. I was actually convinced it was a kidney infection because the pain was so severe but I’m starting to think it’s more muscular as my arms feel weak and tingly and it’s actually painful to the touch. I haven’t done any heavy exercise or anything

Constant need to wee and Endo
I was wondering if there’s a link to my bladder seemingly always being full and Endo? I’m still awaiting laparoscopy for full diagnosis but the MRI has already Endo on my right side. Before I go to sleep at night I need to pee about 10-15 times in an hour before I can finally drift off, I’m then awake
