Dehydrated improved my egfr!
We are all told one of the important things is to stay hydrated. Drink lots of water. Above normal levels. Thought this would not only help kidney health but cause it to flush out more toxic things from our systems such as Creatinine, Phosphorous, etc. I get blood tests every 3 weeks as part of my

DOES IVERMECTIN SLOW CLL
I previously posted that my absolute lymphocyte count was steadily growing then after I had both vaccinations my counts rose 50% in a few months. I later got covid and took ivermectin for a few days and my lymphocyte count went down from 30k to about 26.5k. I thought maybe a coincidence. Doing some

Can Too Much Sleep Hurt Us?
Hi -- I am 73, have mild
kidney
failure
, a lung disease, and since 2018 AFIB and mild heart failure. Even before the heart problems I was always tired. Now some days I am good for nothing and want to just sleep half of the day. I sleep so great & can fall asleep in like a minute.

Question for those who have pkd and had a transplant
Hello I am on the waiting list for a kidney transplant and the meantime trying to do all I can to find a live donor. I get quite a lot of back pain with my polycystic kidney . I was wondering for those who had a transplant did your back pain ease at all. I know a transplant isn’t a cure for the disease

Bladder, Groin and back pain.
Hi there I am a 35 year old woman. And I'm looking for some advice and if anyone can shed some light. 2 weeks ago I had what it seemed a uti. I was in severe pain in my bladder area. I've been prescribed antibiotics twice (nitrofurantoin). My urine sample was negative however. There were no nitrites

He is to have 6 treatments with Taxotere possibly more. Finished 3rd even with lowering dose past 3 days wiped out again! Would like to know if this will slow down the cancer? Will he have quality of life for a time after or is it continued treatments till they just don’t work anymore! His PSA is coming

Your body is incredible. How connected to that are you?
Our bodies are incredible. They're always replenishing through a complex interplay of cell death & new cells. For me, having had a total of 10.5 years on dialysis, 7 of those as a teenager & two kidney transplants, there are so many ways to integrate, heal & remember our inner strength. Yoga is one

First Adt treatment
I started firmagon and zytiga/prednisone on December 10. On January 7, testosterone was below 3, but PSA increased from 4.8 to 5.1. Home likely is prostate resistant cancer after first treatment? I may be on the wrong forum here, because I am Gleason 8, cribriform morphology and PNI, but no indications

I have been diagnosed with under active thyroid in 2015 and have been on Theroxine 50 ever since. Feeling good. Would like to start taking the Marine Complex, exclusive to IMEDEEN Skincare tablets. Remaining on a low dose of pred indefinitely
A lot of posts discuss tapering off steroids as a priority, but I'm wondering if there are some members who are happy to remain on a low dose of pred (say, around 5mg or below) and have their GP or rheumatologist's blessing to do so. I mention this because during my last visit to see my rheumatologist
