Queen is a busy bee
Hi all, I haven't left you, but these are the last two weeks of school. Then I'll have the summer off. I'm concerned dialysis is getting closer and closer. My creatine number is slowly creeping up. I don't even like to say the number out loud because it is so very upsetting. I have to realize that dialysis

I know it's 3 years later but I wanted to write this in case someone needed to see. This thread helped me so much when my dad was in the ICU on a ventilator. When they took my dad off of sedation he didn't wake up right away. He is a peritoneal dialysis patient and drugs leave his system much slower.

can you swim when on dialysis?
After my catheter insertion, I was told I can’t swim in a pool due to risk of infection. I haven’t been in a pool for over a year and I really miss it. I’m going on holiday with my family this summer where there’s going to be a lovely pool and I was thinking of different ways I can swim safely, if possible

Replying to enquirer "fifteen".
You sent me a message asking for a paper on hypothyroidism and left ventricular failure. I've found this that might be of use: Br Heart J. 1982 Sep; 48(3): 278–284. doi: 10.1136/hrt.48.3.278 PMCID: : 7104121 Left ventricular function in hypothyroidism. Responses to exercise and beta adrenoceptor

So on 23rd November i went to af clinic, we are automatically referred here when diagnosed. I had echocardiogram first, then

Panicking over blood results
Hi. I have a kidney infection at the moment, im just finished an antibiotic for a bladder infection but back pain was still there so I went back to GP and turns out bladder infection progressed into kidney infection-another course of antibiotics. I got my blood tests done 4 weeks ago and just happened

teeth whitening
good morning everyone I don’t know if anyone on here has had any experience with tooth whitening products, only I’ve seen an advert for a tooth whitening powder which I’m very tempted to try, especially as it’s dentist approved and is peroxide-free. I’m just wondering about the Alendronic Acid I’m

Persistent afib
I thought I was okay now I'm in persistent afib ( since September 2022) but looking at the posts from yesterday's health unlocked (estesbubba post) people are saying it's not good to be in persistent afib as it causes the heart to work harder and then become enlarged and that can lead to heart failure

Using Lactulose long term
Does anyone know if it is safe to use Lactulose long term? I have IBS-C and have tried all the other remedies such as kiwis, psyllium, prunes ,linseeds, chia seeds and I drink plenty of water but find they either don’t work or give me terrible griping pains. Although I’d prefer to take a natural product

Does endo cause daily pain even when on desogestrel
I'm struggling with daily pelvic pain since my dignotic lap where endo was found but not removed. I've been on desogestrel pill since November and have no periods but yet have this daily pelvic pain. More specifically does anyone else get more pain in the lower right side of pelvis? Sometimes I have
