About me: 34yo, F, PCOS & history of IBS Bit of a long story but around September last year I noticed I was losing quite a bit of weight (unheard of for me as I have pcos which makes weight loss hard) I was also being sick every morning before work, had horrible stomach pains in different areas and

Long term Ppi
Hi just a general question regarding the long term use of Omeprazole . I'VE had PAF since 2017 , an unsuccessful cryoablation in 2019 and am currently on the waiting list for a follow up RF ablation . My episodes are infrequent , reasonably mild and always self resolve within 12 hours. I've been on various

It's back what supplements are ok?
Hi all, Budge up everyone, I need a place at the PMR table again. My last Pred was taken in December 2016 or so I thought. My osteo arthiritis flared a couple of weeks ago but after three days of Flarin it didn't calm down. I noticed after a while a few familiar shoulder twinges and booked a telephone

Timings of meds...
Morning everyone. GCA since last September. Tapering on the 5 week, DSNS programme coming down by half mg, now on 9, heading towards 8and half. Meds are omeprazole at 7.30, pred with breakfast at 8-8.30, first Adcal at 11 ish, last at 9ish. AA still reluctantly, but in the weekly advisory way. Question

Help with blood results for my 10 year old daughter please.
My daughter 10 has had ongoing stomach pain for 16 months now. It started as an intermittent pain happening every 6-8 weeks but fast forward to now it’s daily and gets severe on occasions. She has been admitted twice with suspected appendicitis as the pain gets that bad she can’t move. It’s a sharp,

Any Ideas?
Hi, I wonder if anyone has any ideas about a reaction I get. After being told I have a serious heart condition I am on a load of pills. In the morning at breakfast I take Entresto (sacubitril/valsartan) with asprin and omeprazole. I then sit down to read. About half an hour later I get a reaction with

FYI- 1mg gastro-resistant prednisolone unavailable.
Today I went down into my village to collect my prescription from that well-known high street chemist and was told gastro-resistant pred in 1mg tablets were now discontinued and would no longer be available... ever! I would either have to take ordinary pred 1mg with omeprazole or see GP for an alternative

Blood test (Iron) results - likely the cause of my RLS?!
I posted a week ago as a newbie about experiencing RLS after taking Sertraline, thinking that was the cause. A few days ago I saw my doctor and laid out all the health issues I've been having: RLS, pounding headaches upon waking, getting out of breath easily, feeling weak, pounding heart, and ringing

Mixing Gastro Resistant and plain Prednisone
Having started on 15 mg when I was first diagnosed a year ago, I reduced by 1 mg a month until I reached 10 and then started reducing by 0.5 using Dorset Lady’s plan with some pauses to take account of building work, Christmas and other things. This has worked well and I am now at 8.5 going to 8. I have

New confused and fed-up!
Hi everybody, I’m new here and haven’t yet been diagnosed with asthma, although this is the route the Drs are now going down. I’m a 63 year old healthy lady, never smoked and have never had chest issues until now. On December 28th I tested positive for Covid, although I had no real symptoms to speak
