Finally!
Hi all, just wanted to report that I'm having my hip replacement tomorrow. I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas! Will report back as soon as I can.

Menopause
This is a post on behalf of my daughter who inherited her rls from me 😒She is peri-menopausal at the moment but thinking about hrt in the future. She has heard stories that some people have had their rls symptoms dramatically worsen when taking hrt. We were wondering if any of you have any thoughts

Newly diagnosed
Hi, this is all very new to me as only been diagnosed with fibro in the last few months. I originally was told about 3yrs ago that all my symptoms were down to being peri- menopausal and put on hrt patches, then changed to different hrt medicines when these didn't do anything. I then saw a different

Prostap/tibolone - regal study
Hi all, I'm 1 week into prostap and tibolone as part of the reval study and I'm not coping well. I dont want to be another horror story on the internet so to keep it brief my main concern is constant nausea (but I cant function) and worsened allergies (and I have a history of anaphylaxis as it is).

Slow, slow, quick quick slow -to taper or not?
I've forgotten the name of the tapering method. It's come to me in an hour or so I am sure. Canada was amazing and exhausting, we've been back since the 31st May and are still recovering. Mark was diagnosed with OA in his knees in March. Despite steroid injections before we left, his knees did not

New to all this, please help with test results
People on the Hypothyroid UK forum have suggested that I join this forum because of some test results that I received yesterday. Long story short, I've finally been diagnosed with hypothyroid, but I'm still having awful problems with my memory, attention, concentration, finding words and ability to

Plan your health ahead when under DMT
Just sharing the need to plan healthcare needs (surgery, dental work, etc...) ahead once you get on a DMT. Don't delay any procedure... I'm on Ocrevus. I had to delay the treatment to 10 months (instead of the typical 6 months) to get my hip replacement surgery. The oral surgeon is asking the same

I have just come home after 3 weeks in hospital which was very hot and uncomfortable. I fell on the 30th May and fractured my femur between my much revised long stem hip replacement and knee replacement as well as my elbow on the opposite side. After 3 manipulations, one with gas and air and 2 with

HRT and RLS
Hi, I just saw a reply on a post where Sue talked about HRT being a possible trigger. Are there any safe options? I am currently on Femeton and have just been put on a higher dose because of menopause symptoms. I’m wondering now if this is part of the problem. I would probably be suicidal if I

Starting B12 injections
Hi I am hypothyroid, on Armour Thyroid but still dog tired all the time. I’m on HRT and I have horrible peripheral neuropathy in my feet and lower legs. I can’t walk well or for long at all. My gait feels really off. I’m stiff and have no muscular strength in my legs anymore so crouching down is impossible

Aids after knee replacement
I'm due a total knee replacement next month.Advice, please, on aids to source beforehand. I already have an easy reach, a raised toilet seat, and a leg lifter from when I had a new hip last year. Thanks 😊

Little Laughter 😂
Good Morning ☀️ Beautiful day here today. I am with my brother up to the surgical center and he is having his nerves in his left knee frozen. He has this knee replacement twice last time a year ago. Has had pain since so this is the next step 🙏. Just received letter denying my prescription for migraines

HRT & RA experiences
hi, I’m wondering if there are others who have experience of RA improvement with HRT. My RA is relatively well managed.. one year in.. have a love / hate relationship with methotrexate (many other posts on this!), but am generally tolerating it better. I am having noticeable flares when I ovulate
