Help with test results
I am feeling a bit better, not so spaced out, no depression or dizziness. I stopped HRT in July. However, I do still get tired, have weight problems, have a swollen scalloped tongue, high cholesterol, goitre, tinnitus, joint stiffness. I am on 100mg Levothyroxine. I take B complex, B1, selenium

Hello all, I’m just entering my second year of PMR and I’m now down to 7.5 mgs of Prednisolone but the last week I have felt awful. Very tired, my body aches, no energy. I had a total knee replacement 3 months ago and I’m due to go back to part time work next weds. Should I increase my pred for a couple

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
I just recently read some interesting studies that suggest HRT could help us PD people with our symptoms? I know for some HRT is controversial. And maybe I am at the point of desperation, but should I just be asking my GP for an HRT patch? Have any of you had any experience with HRT. Is one delivery

Right Hip Replacement June 21, 2023
Hello all. My name is Chris, a 55 year old from the US. For the past 2 years I've had debilitating hip pain in my right hip. I just kept putting off a doctor's visit believing "it would get better". Well, this spring when my answer to every "do you want to?" question was "NO", I finally got fed

Rheumatoid, Peri-Menopause, HRT
I am 54 and have had RA for 34 years. I am at the end stage of perimenopause, and close to transitioning to Menopause. The RA feels worse. My joints are so achy even my muscles hurt at times. Anyone suggestions from experienced ladies. Does HRT help? My current medication list is Humira 40 by weekly

Hi can anyone give me any tips on dealing with pain please? I’m on a years waiting list now with a gyno to check for endo and ando. I may be going on to HRT soon for the peri menopause. I’ve tried different pain killers, exercise, meditation and mint tea. Nothing works. The pain is only 5 days

HOrmone Replacement Therepy
I have wondered for a while whether men also lose hormones as they age and whether patches would be beneficial. I am a complete layman, so may be talking rubbish . I read on one post that Parkinsons can give people hot flushes, so this got me thinking. Have there been any studies please?

Zolodex and HRT
hi there, my diagnosis is very new and I’ve just had my first zolodex injection this afternoon. I was also given HRT patches containing oestrogen which I’ve put on. But I’m confused as the zolodex surely stoped oestrogen production so why have I been put on patches that give it back? Surely it will counteract

How to convince your GP a suppressed TSH is ok?
For years I’ve had a suppressed TSH following a trial of T3 probably 5 years ago which didn’t work and I haven’t taken it for around 4 years (need to check my records for exact dates). My GP has always been fine with it, and even the rubbish NHS endo agreed it would take time to recover - or as I know

I have had 2 blood cortisol tests at 9am 1st one was 133 nmol/L and the 2nd one was 233 nmol/L . I asked to have a short synacten test to see if my pituitary is failing ( hypopituitarism) , as one of my big symptoms is low motivation, tiredness, hypothyroidism and zero libido for years despite being

I have had elevated TSH for about 10 years and my GP did not seem very keen to do anything. I got a monitor my health test on the 12/9/23 and advanced thyroid check with Medichecks on the 11/10/23. The results are below and I would really appreciate any support. I have booked an appointment with one

advice please
hi everyone . Here’s my story so far .. haven’t been ‘right’ since May 2021 . First symptoms were hair loss and tiredness. I contacted the GP who did my bloods and said my thyroid was slightly low and wanted to recheck in 8 weeks T4 = 10.4 and TSH 0-8 So they rechecked in july 22 and said again

oxycodone
I have had a complete hip replacement operation on 1st July. Since the my RLS has gone mad my foot twisting like a crazy windmill. I was given a ferritin infusion but it is still mad. Question re:periods
Hello everyone, Up until I started Levo in May this year I was having regular periods every 4 weeks. I think it was my own cycle rather than just an hrt “withdrawal bleed” from my hrt, as the periods were very heavy each time and lasted about 7 days. I had spells of missing a couple of periods here

Gynecology appointment update
Good Morning Just giving you an update after my gynecology appointment 12th October at the hospital. I have to go for a hysteroscopy the doctor thinks the thickening in my womb is lack of hormone or was due to the HRT I was taking previously, she also may do a biopsy to make sure all is fine. She has

Add back hrt with Zoladex
Hi all, just after a bit of support/others’ experiences… I had my 3rd Zoladex last week and over the last 2 weeks menopause symptoms (muscle/joint ache, severe fatigue, palpitations etc) have kicked me hard. Previously prescribed Tibolone but massive headaches middle of the night so I tried to persevere
