Will increasing my HRT dose cure my itch legs as it did for Caroline Noakes MP.
I heard the MP Caroline Noakes on Radio 2 last week discussing how she had cured her problem with itching legs that were so bad that she drew blood when scratching them. The cure involved increasing her dose of HRT until the itching stopped. I use HRT and suffer from the same itchy legs problem for

ADT and hip replacement.
I had a hip replacement about 15 years ago and finished a year of ADT with my last Eligard injection at the end of 2020. Recently I have noticed pain in my affected hip and was wondering if any others have experienced similar. I suspect from the symptoms that I will need a hip surgery revision and that

Open heart surgery recovery
I am 56 years old and pretty fit (apart from my heart valve issue!) and have just had valve replacement by open heart surgery. Keen to understand the recovery time for chest pain reduction post surgery? Is it weeks or months?

Menopause and PBC
Anyone have experience with hrt and PBC? Currently on patch but menopause symptoms have returned. Thinking of oestrogen gel and progesterone tab. Gp not keen on the oral component. Liver levels improved since starting on Urso. Thanks for any input!

Mercury Pharma update
Just to let you know my local pharmacy, who keep MP stock in supply for me, have run out! They had a box for me but said they have tried ordering more several times but to no avail. 🤷‍♀️ I’ll need to look at Hellevas list for a new supplier ( not TEVA) 🤦‍♀️. However, the good news is HRT gel is back

Test results, need advice please
Hi All, I just joined this group. I'm more often on the thyroid group but I just did a blood test to check out my sex hormones as per the advice in Paul Robinson's book 'The Thyroid Patient' manual'. I am post menopausal, age 70 plus. I don't take any HRT currently, just thyroid hormones. Anyway

BB on the road
Ok lets get the tabs out of the way, Stilton 40mg Pred, also statins and blood thinners, done. Been noticing recently ( by the way I have flat foot ) which is on my left which is also the same leg as my total knee replacement. Apart from walking round looking like Michael Flattly ( river dance man)

Suboptimal Thyroid Hormone Replacement is Associated with Worse Hospital Outcomes
Not saying this paper doesn't have its place. Of course it does, otherwise there is too much guesswork and assumption. But, I ask you, is anyone actually surprised by this? The cost of treating (in terms of length of stay and/or readmission) must be vastly more than providing adequate levothyroxine.

On HRT and feeling worse than ever
I am on the Mirena coil and Evorel 50 patches since Feb. I feel worse than ever. I am not sleeping, I am putting on weight, I am exhausted, sad all the time, stressed, irritable, my skin in a mess - patchy and spotty, I have huge eye bags. I have terrible IBS. I hate myself and want to disappear. What

Marina coil at 56
I'm 56 and have just enquired about having my marina coil replaced. This would be my 3rd cycle. Initially for heavy painful periods. Now along side a hrt gel. Dreading a no answer, those heavy periods stopped me doing anything. Also I don't want yo take hrt gel for ever. Just one more cycle please

Bio-identical hormone replacement practitioner recommendations please
I’ve just read the chapter on female hormone replacement in one of Paul Robinson’s book and decided I’m long overdue some help. I’ve been using natural progesterone for a long time with some success but the time has come to fine-tune. A blood test would be useful in ascertaining my status but I wouldn

Knee Revision Surgery
Hi everyone. I had total knee replacements about two and a half years ago and one has continued to have swelling and pain.it was initially put down to a rheumatoid flare but they’ve now taken X Rays and say that it looks like it’s come loose. They’re suggesting revision surgery which is more invasive

Hip and groin pain .
I started with left groin pain about 3 weeks ago . This sometimes goes around the outside of the hip . I saw a doctor ( not mine) and he thinks it is osteoarthritis. I have RA and OA and have had a knee replacement, same side , and a right elbow replacement. The doctor said he thought it was osteoarthritis

Struggling with migraines
Hi all, I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia last Friday and started on Gapabapentin 100mg 3 x daily on Saturday, slowly to be increased. My question is hold do you deal with the brain fog! I suffer with migraines anyway but I'm struggling with a constant migraine because of these pills. Because I can't
