knee replacement
saw a private Dr yesterday about my knee. The complete opposite to what my NHS consultant said. He says right away it’s swollen - I said it’s been like that most of the past 5 years / am used to it and hopping along. Quick run through my health and where am at and says of course you need a knee replacement

HRT and waiting for scans
Earlier this year in March, I saw my GP to ask about HRT, so blood works were done and anomalies found so went for an ultrasound and found to have Fatty liver and hepatic hemangioma. I'm now waiting for a fibroscsn in December and I'm worried and scared. To help myself I've stopped alcohol completely

Anti-coagulants after (Aortic) heart valve replacement surgery?
Just comparing experiences re anti-coagulants with others who have had (Aortic) heart valve replacement surgery. Oestradial HRT & the thyroid, Lenzetto blood tests
I just wondered if low oestradial affects the thyroid? I have been on HRT since March and my level is still only 197 pmol/L. I use 3 sprays of Lenzetto. I wondered if it could be affecting my thyroid function? I don’t have menopause symptoms, I had bottom of range testosterone, but this is now in range

Testosterone and SHBG puzzle ...
Hello all, I am on HRT including testosterone replacement: what do you think of these results? High SHBG, high testosterone but sub-optimal Free Androgen Index, I was told by a menopause doctor that the index should be around 2.5 to be optimal and that is the most important indicator. I was put on a

cost of Forteo, Tymlos, Evenity, Prolia in USA
after being on HRT for a year my numbers have worsened and I now have osteoporosis in spine and both hips in the -3 range. In addition I need a biopsy for breast lump. Ugh. So I’m faced with choosing a new osteoporosis drug. Besides the side effects they all seem to have, I’m considering the cost as

IVF medication following BFP for those with POF?
Hi everyone Hoping to find a consensus re: dates of stopping hormone treatment for those with premature ovarian failure going through IVF. Recently thrilled to get a BFP following D5 DE FET (still early days, only 4.5 weeks along). My clinic seem to adopt a 'one-size fits all' approach and stops progesterone
