Help boosting thyroid without medication?
Hello all I have posted before as my thyroid function is poor but always comes back in range (my TSH never rises even with low levels) so no chance of medication on the NHS (other than statins for high cholesterol which I refuse). I did some recent tests TSH 1.95 (0.27-4.2) T4 14.6 (12-22) T3

Mirena Coil Fatigue
Hi all, just looking for some advice or if you have had similar experience. I got diagnosed with acute stage 5 endometriosis in January, and the gynocologist fitted me with the mirena coil. I was told if this did t work I’d have to start HRT for 6-12 months, as you can imagine this was a lot to take

night sweats - without sweating, any solutions?
hi everyone, I had to come off HRT in December. It hasn’t been as bad as I thought. Except…I get the most awful hot episodes through the night. They wake me up as I feel I’m being cooked, no sweating though. I’m in the cycle of throwing covers off then waking again freezing, and like many of us my normal

Total knee replacement
19 days post op - been very tough especially when COVID thrown into the mix! My muscle tone wasn’t great pre-op but is now nonexistent. Is it possible to build muscle tone with PMR? Without PMR it’s possible to build good muscle tone with regular exercises but no matter how frequently I do my post op

HiI have had tinnitus for 6 years now still no reason why as I have no hearing loss but know it started same time as menapause so was wondering if everyone tried HRT and if it helped? Well we went in today for his fourth pluvicto dose. Went mostly well but he’s been weak lately and had a few bumps in the road but that’s a story for another day. While I was waiting I met two other people who were getting treatments. One was getting his first pluvicto dose today. The second one

Could my son have Ehlers-Danlos? Who to ask about diagnosis?
Hi everyone, I've joined the group today as I'm not sure if my son has hypermobile EDS and I'm not sure where to turn and what to do next. He has lots of niggly health issues which I'm starting to think might be EDS (or I could be adding 2+2=5). Since he was about 6 months old he has suffered horrendously

I am looking for comments on my decision to delay my total knee replacement until I am either suffering too much pain or my mobility becomes to restricted. I am 71 and suffered from arthritis in both knees for over Forty years. The right one has been the worse, until 2020. RECENT HISTORY 29 Jan

A year down the line and no further forward
Hi all, I was diagnosed around a year ago with hypothyroidism after weeks and weeks of dieting and exercising like mad with no results. I was dieting to get in shape for a knee replacement. My GP did blood tests which she described my thyroid as being “in my boots”. I started on 50mcg daily and

My RLS lasted 10-12 horrible months post op… a short time still I’m aware, relative to the experience of so many sufferers on this forum. Apparently I am one of the lucky ones for whom only daily

Thyroid UK list of practitioner recommendations please
I've just requested the above list and tbh, I don't know where to start. There's a consultant on there who I've already visited during this 'journey' who basically told me to go away and work on establishing a full dose HRT regime, referred me to a CFS clinic which never transpired and waved away low

Thyroid question please...
Hi everyone, I am writing to ask if you can have a sore thyroid without significant enlargement and with 'normal' bloods? I have had 'normal' bloods, it doesn't seem visually enlarged, though I feel like I am being strangled and have audible sounds when I swallow in my ears. When I move my head something

Constantly bleeding / zoladex
I'm coming to to my 3rd shot of zoladex next week but for the last 5 weeks I've had 3 periods and all have been a week long. I had 5 days respite between 2 and my current period. I'm currently on day 7 and is not letting up, so don't know how much longer this 3rd will go on for. They aren't light,
