cost of Forteo, Tymlos, Evenity, Prolia in USA

after being on HRT for a year my numbers have worsened and I now have osteoporosis in spine and both hips in the -3 range. In addition I need a biopsy for breast lump. Ugh. So I’m faced with choosing a new osteoporosis drug. Besides the side effects they all seem to have, I’m considering the cost as we are self-employed and carry Marketplace insurance. Any tips on reducing the cost of Forteo, Tymlos, Evenity, or Prolia in the USA? Someone on another site posted that she orders her Tymlos injections through CVS and they are free. She hasn’t replied as to how she was able to accomplish that. Thanks for your help.

Numbers in the 3s are not that bad . The medical insurance makes you try fosamax and Boniva. If you cannot tolerate them you move on they keep you trying things in what’s cost effective for both insurance and customer.

Hi Kimada,

In 2016-2018, I used Forteo. I went through LillyCares and they paid 100% for the 2 yrs supply of Forteo.

I’ve used Prolia & now on Evenity, but those are covered at 100% by my insurance.

I see that Tymlos also has a patient assistance program.
