Testosterone and SHBG puzzle ...

Hello all,

I am on HRT including testosterone replacement: what do you think of these results? High SHBG, high testosterone but sub-optimal Free Androgen Index, I was told by a menopause doctor that the index should be around 2.5 to be optimal and that is the most important indicator. I was put on a quite high dose of testosterone. Another doctor told me that I should lower my dose. Confused...!!! TX

Testosterone 2.7 H ( 0.1-1.4 ) nmol/L

SHBG 148 H ( 27.1-128 ) nmol/L

Free Androgen Index 1.8 ( 0.1-7.1 )
