IUI tips
Hi.. I’m finally starting IUI this month with donor sperm. Any tips on what I can do near insemination day to better my chances? I’ve seen from here that people whilst doing IVF do things like eat pineapple core and have salty chips after? Is this just for implantation? Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Just started thinking about travelling again. Both my wife and I have heart conditions - I have VT, AF and an ICD. My wife mild stenosis, cholesterol issues and has had hypertension in the last couple of years but not now. Average quotes for a 12 month cover worldwide (inc US and Canada) were around

Pain worse after coil fitted
Hi everyone, I had the Mirena coil fitted in November to help with my Endo pain and bleeding. They did say it can take 6 months before it starts to work but the pain has worsened and the fatigue is awful! I am struggling on a daily basis and can't decide whether to wait it out as it has only been 3 months

hysterectomy advice
due for 2nd removal of endo tissue, and removal of coil as this didn't work. I had been given the decapeptyl injection which was wonderful and I was pain free for the first time in 10yrs. have asked for this injection again and refused due to my age (42) looking to see if anyone has fought for a hysterectomy

Hi guys and girls just a quick questionnaire on what jobs you went back into after your heart issues or if you had to find a new job and ifso what job was it? I'm basically after a routine operation having my icd upgraded to a crt-d feel like I'm being discriminated by my work/job in construction and

Tramadol - Anxiety
Hi for my endo pain and pelvic pain I’ve been taking tramadol with paracetamol. I’ve been on this since getting the coil fitted but the pain has been more frequent. This may be stupid but I take 50mg x 1 or 2 tablets 2/3/4 times a day depending on my pain. I definitely wake up in agony in the mornings

Sotalol v Bisoprolol
My GP recently decided to discontinue my beta-blocker from 2 x 2.5 bisoprolol and take 1 x 50mg sotalol instead. (This decision was following an ICD firing) I had been taking the bisoprolol for the last ten years and monitoring my BP with a cuff device, where my BP had always shown a borderline normal

ICD complications
Hello everyone This is my first post on this site. I had an ICD fitted last August after I had a major heart attack that resulted in heart failuer. As I was having some issues with the pocket my cardiologist decided to go back in and bury the ICD deeper into the muscle. This was done in early March.

Has anyone tried having both the IUD and pill at the same time? What was your experience?
Hi all, I hope you’re doing well 🤍 My surgeon recently has recommended taking the pill on top of the
IUD
to try manage the endo/adeno pain that is coming back two fold.

Found out my consultant may have been negligent…
Hi all, Some of you might have seen me post on here before about my journey. I had a laparoscopy with a general gynae back in October who left a two sentence report on my file saying she had removed endometriosis spots. She told me that that removal (via heat) was the treatment along with the coil they

Finally got a follow up appointment …
After having my lap in October , another 5cm cyst was found 3 weeks later on ultrasound and I’ve been waiting for an app with the gynae ever since I’ve finally been given a last minute appointment for Thursday with a locum gynae, and I’m so nervous he won’t take me seriously as my last gynae told me

However I am apprehensive to have my
IUD
taken out a year early because I have Anxiety (currently taking medication) and I’ve heard/read about the “Mirena crash”. Any tips or advice from somebody who has experienced it or is more informed than me?
