Dear Farage

I have read your post and your past post with interest { due to have a CRT-d fitted soon, Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy with Defibrillator }

Your last post told us about the pain you were in due to the placement of the machine, is this still on going? And is this the reason to ask about a permanent removal , leads included?

There must be a better solution to this problem as you had the ICD fitted for a reason and that of course is to do with a problem with your heart that you haven’t told us the full story of.

I am so sorry that you are suffering so much that this has crossed your mind to have done, and I’m really sorry I don’t know the answer to your question, surly it depends on a few things that only your cardiology dept can answer.

Only you can way up the pain your in { I’m sure that they can do something about this } and the benefits that the ICD is already making { and will continue making for the rest of your life }

Please take care and get talking to people that can help you. I sincerely would like to hear the rest of your ongoing story.

You are in my thoughts.

Hi. Thanks for your reply and support. I had covid in April 2020 and was hospitalised on oxygen for 5 days and then again in August 2020 this time on oxygen for 3 days. In April 2021 I had a STEMI. I was blue lighted to the closest hospital cath lab and stented. I was not told I had heart failure As the hospital was not in my health board area no info was passed to the rehab team. In August 2021 I blacked out in the street and I was blue lighted to a hospital in my health board area and they told me my heart attack caused heart failure and fitted my ICD. The problems then started.

Dear Farage
