Does anyone share any of this..
Hi, this is not my first post, but it’s struck me that I have never read one from anyone on quite such a total of medication as me. I’ve had IBS C for over 20 years, steadily worsening. I’ve had every possible test and seen some of the top consultants in London. I’m in constant pain, always bloated and

Changing medication?
Hi! Over the years I've been on a variety of antispasmodic medications - alverine citrate, some others I can't remember (!) and now I'm on mebeverine. When I switched onto mebeverine, my GP at the time said that it's helpful to switch every now and again because your body gets used to the medication

Anyone know the best thing to help with the bloating. Doctor has given me mebeverine which isn't working and my hernia has kicked off as well. My morphine is helping with the pain but it's more the bloating. Thanks everyone xxx

Ibs omeprazole?
Hi, wondering if anyone can help me. I've had ibs since I was 13 years old but my stomach has always been "bad". My usual thing is low cramps and the runs, usually set off by stress, lack of sleep or too much bread or grease. 2/3 months ago I started to get a burning pain in my upper right abdomen,

First Time Post on the IBS Forum IBS & Gerd
Would be interest to hear from those who suffer and how you manage IBS with GERD , Silent Reflux. IBS big time came into my life following the death of my wife some 9 years ago although in a very mild way had been around for 20 years prior. During the past year I have associated pain , sometimes unbearable

How long is a bout of IBS
Hi I’m new on here and was wondering if IBS can go on for months. I haven’t been formerly diagnosed as waiting for ct scan to see if anything else going on. Have been having pains on right side and bloating since February. Managed to get blood tests done which were all ok, but couldn’t get any scans

Bulimia, laxatives and IBS also using finger to aid going toilet.
I have been stuck in a vicious cycle of binging and purging with my awful bulimia over the years, not taking in much nutrients and boozing a lot over the years. I’m changing things around as I’m tired mentally and physically of the eating disorder, and generally want to not cause my health to get to

Medication help
Hello everyone, I suffer with IBS and I do take Mebeverine which works well. However I do still get the occasional bouts of acute upset stomachs and I have only used Light Kaolin and Calcium Carbonate in the form of chewable tablets, originally brought from Asda a few years ago. I can not take Loperamide

Low FODMAP and Food combining may help IBS
I have never been properly tested for IBS but a nurse at my GP surgery said she thought I had IBS and advised me to go on a low FODMAP diet. She also prescribed Mebeverine, to be taken 20 minutes before each meal. I followed her advice for 3 months but still suffered quite bad belly aches sometimes -
