Anyone know the best thing to help with the bloating. Doctor has given me mebeverine which isn't working and my hernia has kicked off as well. My morphine is helping with the pain but it's more the bloating. Thanks everyone xxx

Hi i hope you are well as can be expected. Have you tried peppermint capsules or peppermint tea? I find it helps me when I'm really bloated (endo belly) and after i had my laps and my hysterectomy. 💛

Thanks for the reply, yes done that and ginger and apple cider nothing seems to help. I just drink cooled boiled water all the time now xx

The only thing that helped me was going lactose free, do consult your GP though as you know there are many causes for bloating. I hope you recover soon x

removing the gallbladder, that's what I did and it was the best choice. pretty common procedure.

Hi, I have had similar issues to you which are related to IBS, I did also have gallstones and had my gallbladder removed 5 years ago. I still take mebeverine, peppermint capsules and buscopan for the IBS. Most of the time I am ok but I have to be careful with my diet. I eat very small portions as I can’t eat large meals. I eat gluten and lactose free which has helped a lot and I don’t drink any carbonated drinks or fizzy water because it use to cause pockets of wind in my stomach which were quite painful and took ages to go away. I hope you get some relief soon.

I don't know if it's the gallstones or trapped with but I haven't felt pain like it, it lasts for over two weeks now. X

I am sorry you are using Morphine based painkillers , have you had any problems with losing the use of your legs , or feeling tired , I am not a fan of anything Morphine , only thing I didn't experience was bloating , try peppermint cordial .
