Hello everyone,

I suffer with IBS and I do take Mebeverine which works well. However I do still get the occasional bouts of acute upset stomachs and I have only used Light Kaolin and Calcium Carbonate in the form of chewable tablets, originally brought from Asda a few years ago. I can not take Loperamide as they make my blood pressure drop so I rely and am happy taking Kaolin. BUT.. I only have 1 left and I can't seem to buy them anywhere. I've even called a boots pharmacy to see if they could advise on where to get but he just did the same google search that I did.. Although he did suggest I can get light Kaolin and Morphine but I never usually get pain so the morphine would be useless (and seems a little extreme!)

Please could anyone either a) advicse on how I can buy these tablets or b) advise on what you take that isn't Loperamide to get rid of acute diahorea?

Ive attached a photo of what I am looking for.

Thank you so much.

Never seen these before. Have you tried contacting Asda? Possibly they’ve had to discontinue but worth asking. Or maybe speak to your doctor about where you can get some?

This is the company that make them:worth contacting them and asking where they stock it or if you can buy direct from them. galpharm.co.uk/contact-us

Thank you SO much!! I really appreciate you taking the time to find the website for me and I have just sent them an email! Fingers crossed I get a response back.

Again, thank you!

I used to take something similar from Superdrug. Having googled, I think this product is no longer available in any form, maybe because of the morphine. Colofac is useful, available over the counter or speak to your GP.

Best of luck x

Hello, did you see if the company still make this product, with the kaolin and calcium or was it the one with Loperamide? I still can't find anywhere that is still selling this. I've called different pharmacies who all can't give me any ideas. One did say I could just take the kaolin but I'm not sure on what form to buy that as it can also come with morphine which I don't need.

This is turning out to be a right headache 😞

Oh yes, I've done that previous. There are two of the same product under different product codes but I can't seem to find a button to buy it, it just has product description 😔

Oh bless you. I find a hot water bottle really helps, even in this nice weather.

Hello Crystal did you ever find any tablets? These were the best for me and I too, am so frustrated-they have stopped being manufactured! I no longer have any and it’s so disappointing. Have contacted manufacturer and they confirmed discontinuation ☹️ Can’t source anywhere!

Hi Fifi!! Unfortunately not no 😔 I have 2 left which I am saving for desperate times before I have to use loperamide which I really don't want to use. Have you had any luck or found alternatives?

Did you ever find anywhere that sells these? I have exactly the same issue and they were the only thing that worked for me. 😞
