Hi I used to suffer with Ibs many years ago but my gp has recently said I’ve got it again although have completely debilitating symptoms keeping me off work. The worst is severe back pain. I feel like I’m in labour all the time and nausea. It’s awful. Buscopan and Mebeverine aren’t working. Has anyone

5 month waiting time to see specialist. Absolutely cannot wait that long.
For about 5 months now I've been having mild gastrointestinal issues (indigestion, feeling full quicker than normal, mild bloating, loose stools but not diarrhoea) which I am convinced was caused by stress and anxiety. About a month and a half ago, these symptoms rapidly worsened. I started getting horrible

FODMAP Diet
My doctor recommended me the low FODMAP diet after IBS treatment with mebeverine and lansoprazole only partially helped. I'm not keen on changing my diet. I don't have the time to prepare meals 100% from scratch and I don't want to spend all my time making sure that all I buy is low FODMAP stuff, like

I visited doctor last Thursday with what I thought were symptoms of IBS bloating, wind and really bad diarrhoea with some blood/mucus. Mebeverine supply
mebeverine supply Is anyone else having problems getting hold of mebeverine? The last few prescriptions I’ve had huge problems getting filled - I’ve had to call quite a few chemists (last time 6), to get hold of any. The pharmacies say they can only get hold of the branded, much more expensive Colofac

IBS treatment helps but still getting indigestion
Recently I've been diagnosed with IBS and I've been given mebeverine to help with the cramps, which has worked. One of my symptoms was indigestion, feeling full quickly, nausea, lack of appetite, and just general stomach discomfort. I was given lansoprazole for it, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm still

IBS pain
Does anyone’s IBS hurt like most days? Some weeks or days it’s worse than others but most days I have pain at some point or some sort of nausea. Especially if I stop taking my mebeverine

After review with consultant
Hi everyone, I hope everyone is well and managing their symptoms. Just to provide a history of what’s been going on. For over a year I have been having problems with my stomach. - a feeling of fullness and bloating in my stomach. This is always present and never goes away regardless of whether I eat

Although I was certain I've had IBS for years I was officially diagnosed in May this year. I have been put on mebeverine (think that's how you spell it) and I have cut a lot of things out of my diet but am still finding I get a lot of pain and discomfort and I bloat as soon as I eat something and some

IBS and how to deal with it
It all started when I went out for a meal, came home and had really bad diarrhoea. Then the next day had stomach pains and felt like I needed to go but couldn’t. So I took senna, but this didn’t really help. I had stomach cramps, trouble going toilet, and during the night I could feel things moving in

Hiya. Had laryngospasms where my throat closed up (really frightening) a year ago and was told it was due to silent reflux. Woke up one night and literally couldn't breathe. Fed up with IBS - any advice?
I have suffered with IBS for over 10 years and first noticed it at around age 10 when taking some tests at school and constantly having an upset tummy due to worrying, I still suffer with this now and stress definitely worsens my IBS. I suffer with bloating, cramping, flatulence, diarrhoea and stomach

Shifts and IBS
Does anyone work shifts, and find this is worse for your IBS? I try to take my Mebeverine as I should, but it isn't always as on time when I am working. Also before a late shift, I struggle to know what to eat and when, as even regular foods sometimes mean I arrive at work with a stomach ache. I find

Antispasmodics and Acid reflux
Is there such a thing as an Antispasmodic that doesn't make acid reflux worse. Mebeverine seems to make it worse, alverine seems to make it worse, Colpermin often makes it worse. Buscopan generally doesn't seem to but you can't take nausea tablets with that and also I find it tricky to get for dose right
