Burning mouth syndrome
Does anyone suffer with burning mouth syndrome. I had a heart attack 2021 and have been suffering from this for 3 months now, it is very frustrating, been to ENT who were no help, been tested for B12/folic acid /iron, there's plenty of articles online saying what could be a cause, including some blood

serum iron
While seeing a Dr at Leicester hospital I was asked to have a blood test, it wasn’t a fasting one. I have just had a letter, my serum iron was 12 there is no mention of anything else. The registrar has written “ Low iron can make restless legs worse and therefore I would be grateful if you could investigate

Iron deficiency & picky eating
Hello! My daughter is 4.5 years old and is very iron deficient. We found out she is anemic about 2 years ago. I used to be able to give her iron drops in her sippy cup when she was smaller, but as she has gotten older it has been extremely difficult to get her to eat any iron enriched foods (sensory

Just got updated thyroid hormone results — see why I'm tired.
Well, I can see why I am so tired. The iron panel is certainly much better, but not as high as I think it should be, but since this is my field, I will keep working on it. Serum zinc will take about a week to get back. B12 and vitamin D are very good / optimal for hypothyroid, so it's not low nutrients

need some words of encouragement please
Hi everyone, it’s been a while since I last made a post. I started armour last September after being on a high dose of thyrogold for years and I’m still trying to find my dose on armour. I have gradually worked up to 3 grains which has been a rocky and rather arduous task (low iron and low cortisol

It has been my longest and toughest journey of my life.
My fibromyalgia started in a writer way. In 2019, I became very ill with several bloody UTIS, which then affected my skin, my body was producing what was similar to small fish scales, they would ping out of my skin all over my body. Come out my tear ducks. When I was on the loo I could hear them hitting

HELP PLEASE
I am writing this in the middle of the night because I can’t lie still. You can imagine how desperate I am to take a Pramipexole tablet. The good news is I have just done 10 days without any Pramipexole. Stupidly, I haven’t planned my next move. I spoke to a doctor yesterday (I’m in the UK) and he

What do these lab results suggest to you please
Later today husband will be speaking to GP regarding latest TFTs which have been erratic this past 3 years. He’s not taking any thyroid replacement yet but I’m expecting - or should I say hoping - GP is going to prescribe something based on over range TSH, although I know they often wait for it to climb

Cerelle for Adenomyesis?
Hi, I’ve recently been diagnosed with adenomyeosis, I was misdiagnosed with a fibroid but they’re pretty sure it’s adenomyeosis now. My main symptom is unmanageable periods getting worse and worse, they are so heavy that I tend not to leave the house during this time but of course some days I have to

Sobriety and preparing withdrawal from Pramipexole
Hi RLSers, I have been struggling with RLS, first when I was around twenty years old and now as I am well into my middle age. I have been sober for 23 years, but a few years back I started taking Pramipexole. This drug has created more problems for me than it has solved. At the beginning it works

ferritin and Levo dose
Guidance please. GP did a blood test including iron as was feeling tired, cold and shaky. Currently on 100 Levo. I never have changed brand and always do a test 9am without medication within 24 hrs beforehand etc. These are results ; no t3 tested for some reason but historically has always been in range
