Blood test results
Hello, I've been a few different symptoms (tiredness, heavy and irregular periods, hair falling out) and my GP organised for a full blood test, which I've now had back. My iron levels, B12 etc were all fine. But I was wondering about the Thyroid levels, in particular the T4; is it too low although

B12 Deficiency / PA & Sjorgen's
Is there a link between low B12 and Sjorgen's? Anyone dealing with both of these as well as low Ferritin/Iron? I have an appointment in two weeks with a rheumatologist as my PCP referred me after some bloodwork came back borderline. After reading a little about Sjorgen's it is hard to know what symptoms

Ischial bursitis anyone?
My problems initially started with what I called sit bone pain after sitting on a wrought iron chair for two hours without a cushion (I now know how daft that was). After 4 months with no respite and developing symptoms which were diagnosed as PMR I was told by my rheumatologist that prednisolone should

Eight months since my Mechanical AV
Eight months, time flies when you are recovering! I have been attending the cardiac rehab centre in Coventry who have been fab. They support you with everything from your fitness plan, medication, medical appointments and your mental health. I still have problems but these are not related to my op.

Can you ‘feel’ your spleen?
I’ve been feeling pressure, not particularly pain, under my ribs on the left for a while. I’ve mentioned this to haematology but no reaction from them. I can feel it most when I’m sat or laid down. Is this relatively normal? I had an iron infusion last as very anaemic, which hasn’t made any difference

Advice re recovery - please!
My next door neighbour recently had triple heart bypass surgery + a replacement aortic valve & he has AF. He is very breathless still but had a blood & short iron transfusion a few days ago because his blood count was very low (he looked terribly pale). He isn't sleeping & keeps having bad dreams. Is

Are these vitamins too low even though they're in range? (For an underactive thyroid)
Hi all, I hope everyone is doing well? I've finally had some blood test results back as I've still been feeling lousy (underactive thyroid symptoms) despite blood tests suggesting to the contrary. My TSH came back: 0.07 T3: 5.10 (normal range quoted as 2.63 - 5.70) T4: 15.40 (normal range 9.01 - 19.05

Help with results please 💜
Hi, I posted a little while ago with results from July. I have since had an increase in my Levo from 100mcg daily to 125mcg 3 days a week and 100 for the rest. I’ve just picked up my results this morning and would really appreciate some input on what to say to my GP as I have a consultation tomorrow

Treating anaemia alongside thyroid medication
Having been on T3 only for about 8 months, I have made some massive strides in terms of my general health. Most of the symptoms that had me at my absolute lowest ebb, have gone. However, if one remains it is a general feeling of weakness. I used to weight lift 4 - 5 times a week before thyroid illness

thyroid function satisfactory but iron low
Hi there, Ive been taking levothyroxine for hypothyroidism for 6 months now. I previously was anaemic but that had resolved after iron supplementation also around 6 months ago. I just rang for update on levels and was told thyroid satisfactory but cholesterol high and iron and haemoglobin low. I

Tests, test and more bloody tests!
After years of managing the dreaded lupus/APS migraines really well with Maxalt, I have started to suffer with cluster headache (which nothing seems to touch!) so obviously considering my medical history, the fact I have previously has a stroke, clots and am on warfarin, they want to do an MRI tomorrow

endoscopy
hi all, I'm having a gastroscopy and colonoscopy on Friday, not sure what they are looking for (had a letter to report to GP after giving blood donation saying iron levels low) not looking forward to it I have transport available -- should I take the option of sedation?

parietal cell antibody lab results
I’m having trouble interpreting my lab results. My Parietal Cell Antibody IgG value is 33.2 units and it said the standard range is 0.0-24.9 units. So it’s above the standard range but not by much. Apparently above 25 units is positive so that means I’m positive? I just want to confirm.
